The approval notice is already under Documents tab on her USCIS account and unlike all the other NOAs we received, this one does NOT say that "This is not a visa and does not confer any status.......blah blah blah"

 

So maybe this is enough for her to get a SSAN and maybe do her Texas driving test?

Congratulations! It should be enough but the official approval notice is printed on bond paper, so depends on how discerning your SSA officer is. Worth a try. 

 

I saw that your interviewing officer looked at all of your documents on a tablet. I'm guessing you also have IOE receipt numbers?

Yes but only the I-130 was input online by me.  Somewhere in the process my paper I-485 was transferred to digital.  He commented that there was significant differences between the paper and digital formats. I commented and he agreed that they are moving towards an online version of the 485 as well as other forms. So future AOS applicants won't need to do the mailing to Chicago bs.

  3. 2/19/2025 - Received email notifying interview was scheduled - combo (N400+I751) interview scheduled for March 18

RoC Timeline:

  1. 12/04/2023 - Application sent to USCIS Elgin, IL lockbox
  2. 12/07/2023 - Application received by USCIS
  3. 12/12/2023 - Received "Your case received" text message from USCIS. Receiipt # starts with IOE

Hiii!! I'm sorry, I posted in the October fillers group instead

 

I got my I-765 and I-131 approved on July 26th and then on the chat I requested for my case to be expedited for humanitarian reasons (family being sick).

I got my interview scheduled not long after that.

 

We went for our interview on September 1st in San Antonio, our officer was definitely a tough cookie, no scary questions, just the usual, but she definitely scared us a bit, asked for my additional documents to prove our marriage, questions on birthdates and parents name + where were we born, pretty much it.

 

10 minutes later, my lawfully app updated me that "New card is being produced" for my I-485, still showing "Itw was completed and my case must be reviewed" for I-130. Next day, everything turned to "Case was approved".

 

My dates in my signature :)

Relieved that this long journey is close to being over!

Under H1B valid until September 2022.

Marriage based AOS Timeline:

  1. 9/30/2020 - Application sent to USCIS Chicago lockbox using USPS
  2. 10/2/2020 - Application received by USCIS
  3. 10/26/2020 - Application rejected for outdated I-485 form
  4. 10/27/2020 - Application re-sent to USCIS lockbox using Fedex

No 😢 my ead renewal was received. I got my hopes up last week as I had two letters showing on informed delivery. One was for my online account creation and the other was for biometrics. Pretty discouraged about it these days.

Alright well we got the green card!!!

 

All I can say is that make sure you take documents showing BOTH your names. Joint bank account, lease with both names (as tenants, not just occupant) etc. All I was able to produce was my W2 that had us both on it.

 

We would have been approved on the spot but because of that, we were only given a verbal approval. We got an email 6 hours later saying a card was produced. A few days later is when we got the email saying “approved”
