Had my bio appt on May 10th and expedited my EAD on May 12. Received "Request has been approved" on May 17. Just saw - "New card is being produced" (today May 18). Does anyone know if my SSN will come with the card?

So happy!!

The SSN comes from the social security office, not USCIS, so it'll be separate in the mail at some point.

Congrats!  What did you have to do/ say/provide to expedite the EAD?

I spoke on emma with a live agent. Said I was experiencing financial hardship. She asked if I wanted to write anything on the request. I just said it was taking longer than expected and that I was going further into debt making my interest payments increase.

No evidence was requested. I’ve seen a few others have the same experience on Reddit so I thought I would try.

Thanks, I tried myself. The agent said there were 4 reasons to apply and listed them so I picked humanitarian to help my family.  We'll see how that goes.

From what I understand, an expedite won’t be approved until after biometrics have been completed, unfortunately.

My understanding is that if the expedite is denied for biometrics that can kick off the biometrics which is my purpose in putting in the I-765 anyway. Also, my wife did do biometrics Feb 27 last year so they could use those.

Oh that’s smart! Hopefully that will trigger someone looking at her file. As for biometrics, if she had them done abroad at a consulate, I don’t believe that USCIS can reuse them, since consulates are under the Department of State. From what I’ve seen in this and other forums, it’s a different system altogether. But if she had them done in the US, they might go ahead and reuse them. I’ve seen a few DACA and TPS people skip the biometrics step because they had already provided them to USCIS in the past.

It worked.

21 April, I-765 recieved at Chicago LB

12 May, Received text notification of I-765 NOA #

13 May My wife requested I-765 expedite from Live Agent for humanitarian reasons so she can support her family in the 🇵🇭 desperately needed because of the plague.

19 May I-765 and I-485 status changed to Biometrics Scheduled. Supposed to be June 11th but, of course, even after 2 AR-11s, the appointment is in Portland so I printed out the appointment notice and tomorrow we'll go down to the San Antonio office and try to do a walk in.

But I'm happy something happened anyway.

SA ASC said they'd do it but not until the June 11th scheduled date if we brought proof of our new residence.  Went home and called them and explained we'd moved and had put in AR-11s twice. Agent said she'd put in for a new biometrics schedule in SA. I figure the new date will likely be sooner but if not we'll just use the old one.

Did you physically go to SA ASC or were you able to somehow get a hold of them on the phone?  I went ahead and requested an I-765 expedite for my mom's case, no biometrics yet after almost 6 months .. fingers crossed that it triggers a biometric appointment for her just like it did in your wife's case.  Good Luck!

Yes, went there about 1245.  Nobody out front.  The door was locked but a lady saw us try the door and came out.  Showed her the appointment letter and explained we now lived in SA and we had done a couple AR-11s but they till made the appointment in Portland.  She said to come back on the 11th with proof of residency like a lease or electric bill.

Good luck to you too.

Forgot to ask you - did you get an official response for your expedite request? Or is it still pending due to biometrics?

I haven't actually received anything regarding the expedite request at all. A week after the request the I-485 status changed to bio scheduled and I downloaded the bio appointment letter.
