Please, how do you guys get EMMA to let you know where your file is? What does that chat look like?

All you have to do is to type "live chat" (or could be "live agent" instead. has to be one of either) as soon as you open up EMMA. Then it will ask you what category and you will have to choose "Green Card". After that, you will be connected to a live agent. Just ask which service location your case is and they will answer. At least this is how I got mine...

Btw, USCIS case tracker does not show anything related to interview on my case. It's still on fingerprint taken.

Anyone else have NO movement on biometrics?

PD 9/11/2020.

I had an RFE in February for the I-044 on the I-485, so I submitted even though it's been suspended. The status on the I-485 still says RFE, but for the EAD/AP they just say received and no updates.

I believe biometrics are heavily based on your local ASC. According to this, it seems like its taking about 160 days, you can always call and ask though. (if your ASC is what your timeline says)

Thanks. I think that's based on only two records from that ASC though so not much of an average. I'm at 215 days, so I'm thinking I need to call I guess.

Not much of an update but I was able to file a case inquiry on the I-130 efiled 16 Sep 20.  The response was that I should receive a response by 6 May 21.  Just hope I don't get punished like transferring the case to Vermont or something.

I had my interview today. Everything went pretty smoothly, and the interview was no longer than 20mins. The office was set up for a video call type interview so the officer was in the other room and talked through an iPad. He didn’t look at any documents other than our drivers licenses and then took my medical, even though we brought a large stack of stuff. Didn’t look at our passports either which was interesting, although we sent a scanned copy of all pages of both when we filed. He asked some identifying type questions (name, DOB, social, etc) then then all the criminal questions. Then he asked about how we met, where got married, things we like to do etc. It was pretty conversational. Then he said I’d be getting a 2 year card (as expected) and to file in a timely manner. After that he walked us out and said our case was very easy to work on and was filed very well (for which I have to thank this forum), which he appreciated. Might be why the case was approved so quickly. I got a notification an hour later that the case updated to card being produced. So that’s that, looks like I’m done for now!

Congratulations!

This morning, the online case status was changed to "New Card Is Being Produced".

updated timeline:

  2. 09/29/2020 (Tuesday morning at like 9am) - Application received by USCIS
  3. 10/20/2020 (Tuesday afternoon) - Two pending transactions (Chase Check)
  4. 10/20/2020 (Tuesday afternoon at 5:23pm) - Received 4 text messages with receipt numbers starting with MSC
  5. 10/24/2020 (Saturday afternoon) - Received 4 I-797s in the mail. Priority Date is 9/29/2020.
  6. 01/31/2020 (Sunday afternoon)- Received bio appointment notice in mail. Notice Date: 01/23/2021, Appointment Scheduled on 02/19/2021.
  7. 2/19/2021- attend bio appointment on Friday morning
  8. 04/8/2021 - sent a request for expedite processing I765
  9. 04/14/2021 -  expedited case was under review
  10. 04/17/2021 -  request for expedite processing was approved
  11. 04/21/2021 -  new card is being produced

But for I-131, Application for Travel Document, it still shows "case was received", is it normal?  Well, I will check if it is a combo card after it is mailed to me.

My I-131 didn't say case approved until the EAD one did, (which is the next status you should receive before it gets mailed).
