Yeah, but the other thread is AOS from IR1/K1 so it's supposedly a different process and not comparable.  At least I'm told that is why there are 2 different categories.  Assuming you posted here because your AOS is from B-1, B-2, or student visa, you're the first of the September filers.

Is that the I-131?

The wife mailed off the I-765 today.  Well, yesterday in the US.  No fee so just the hassle of printing and cost of photos and mailing.  Hoping it shakes the tree a little.

Last night sent an e-request for the I-131 since the "Receipt date for a case inquiry" is October 20, 2020 and my PD is September 30. Probably won´t get anything out of it but got nothing to loose.

In other news, today at 12:08AM got an email from USCIS notifying my I-485 case was "Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview".

I also submitted an e-request for the I-131. My pd is Sept 29, 2020.

After I submitted the form, it said "Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time. Further information about recent processing times can be viewed on the uscis.gov webpage."

I am confused, because my receipt date(09/29/2020) is actually before the “Receipt date for a case inquiry" (November 07, 2020) .

Did you come across a same issue? Many thanks.

It could be due to a difference in the processing location having a different date.  In my case the PD is well before the receipt date but I'm going to try anyway in a week or so on my I-130.  Seems to be the PD would be the better option but if not then why do they even have a PD?

That could be too.  At least for me it will mean try, try again.

I don't think it will amount to much.  You're telling them they are slow which they already know but at least if your case has somehow been lost in the shuffle, it might jar it loose.  Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Another nice thing about your experience is that now we know the system is set up to reject early submissions.  I would not want to enter a case inquiry and then get an angry email that I was too early and perhaps get some black mark on the file.  Just tried to enter it now and I know it's early so I got the same message above.  Hope it works when the date is right.
