Certified copy of certified copy???

Hi,

 

I am about to send in an I-485 + I-130 application for change of status.

 

In the step by step guide for filing I-130 on this web site it says:

 

8:  

A certified copy of your certified marriage certificate    All other documents are simple photo copies of certified or official documents and I see nothing else on the official USCIS instructions.   Is this.a typo?

Follow the official instructions.   Nothing submitted to the USCIS needs to be original or certified unless SPECIFICALLY requested.

From the official site for 130 -   Spouse: A copy of your marriage certificate

[Just Paul 4,595]

Copy with the petition.  Take the certified copy to the interview incase there is a question.
