Hi everyone,

Does anyone know what is the procedure right now with some embassies processing mission-critical and emergency visa services?

We received approval (Documentarily qualified) a week ago from NVC, and our case status still says "at NVC".

Interview location is Jerusalem, Israel.
Do they not send the case until the embassy has completely resumed all services?
And isn't our case (IR/CR1) a mission-critical category according to the proclamation in the link below?

Thank you for any assistance.

Once the consulate notifies NVC they have available sots for CR-1/IR-1 interviews, they (NVC) will schedule interiews beginning at the front of their queue for that particular interview.  Until an interview is scheduled, the case will remain at NVC.

Waits for interviews do vary by Consulate, but right now, there is a long and totally unpredictable queue everywhere.

one week is still to fast for your status to change, the NVC might still work with the embassy about your case. try to contact the NVC once if after a month you still hear nothing from them. even though the embassy is open, but if the visa service still not continue, there won't be any interview to be scheduled. if you don't have any urgent matter, they won't consider your case as emergency visa service.

You are responding to a post from two years ago.  Might be a long wait for a response.  Best to post your question in the applicable regional forum.
