So after 2 years of filing for my wife, today I finally got an email saying that NVC has been satisfied with fees, documents etc and will work for an embassy interview in Manila. WE are married doing IR visa. My emails to the Embassy go unanswered. Anyone know from NOW about how long one could expect to have an interview? I am reading 60-90 days.

Congratulations !!     We got our interview "ding" on my phone at 1 AM MST. First paperwork approved July 18,2018 until today. Sat at NVC since February. No issue......just waiting for them.

Now my wife is not sure. I am over 60. I have been looking and looking all day on "do I quarantine regardless or only if I test positive?" Can't find anything definitive. NOTHING.Everything I look at is different. And then the visa  I need which I take it was enacted on August 7. Even on the San Francisco and Los Angeles Consular sites it STILL says all I need is a passport that is good for 6 months after I arrive. Absolutely no mention of a visa.

EVERYTHING I LOOK AT IS DIFFERENT. AND THEN>>>>SINCE i AM OVER 60,WOULD I BE LET OUT AT ALL IN THE PHILIPPINES?  If I can't go,she is absolutely terrified to go to Manila alone. Looking at rescheduling till God knows when. Everyone has a story.

Congratulations again. You've earrned it ! !

Thanks! Our stories sound familiar. My stuff sat at NVC in February and just i n the last 2 weeks I saw movement. Documents I uploaded months ago now finally appear. Odd. Well, I would go ahead and go, if you want to, but honestly you do not need to be there. Perhaps a family friend or girlfriend can go with her? Good luck. But I do not expect an interview until January or Feb at the earliest.

Her interview is set for Oct 7th. Maybe a miracle and she can find someone to trust to go with. 12 hours by car/16 hours by bus and 37 minutes by plane. Isabela Province way north of Manila.
