Do they send an email when they set an appointment date?

Hello all,

my estimated time to get the appointment was in August, but with COVID I guess things are backed up, and when the countdown got to "zero" it displayed "We are taking longer..." when I check on the USCIS website. It's been a month now and it still displays the same thing.

My question is: do they send an email to your personal email on file when they set the interview appointment date notifying you of the change? I am asking because then I would know there is no need to go on the USCIS website every day to check if I have no email notifying me there is a change.

Thanks

They do send an email stating that an action was taken on your case. I’ve asked many people recently and they all got an email but in some instances people received a letter by mail without even anything changing online(rarely but it happens) I’d recommend checking the online website every few day only and most important the mail.

Btw same here my estimate time was July then August then it disappeared so nothing to worry about. Good Luck
