Hello All,

My Fiance is in Turkey right now and is a Turkish citizen but she is also a Chinese citizen but with a different name. Do I provide them both passports even if she didn't live there in the last 5 years?  Or does this complicate my situation where as I need to go get a lawyer?

A passport of the beneficiary is not even required for the petition

YMMV

Yea I saw that, was wondering if Turkey counts as a low fraud country or a high fraud and If I should include a few optional paperwork such as her passports and or statements from family members about our relationship.

How does including a copy of the passport prove validity of the relationship,  which is not something the USCIS determines.

YMMV

Yea sorry I guess I am just worrying and tying my best to make sure the process goes smoothly. I have heard multiple people around me saying they have friends who did the K-1 visa route and it took them 5-7 years to bring the fiance over and etc and I just did not want to fall in that situation. I am mostly done with the packets and before sending it all off just wanted to make sure I have everything ready or do I have to get a lawyer to look over.

I don't know who these people are but pre COVID-19,  I would estimate 90+% or even better of k1s were well under one year from start of petition to issuance of visa.

YMMV

When she moves further through the process she will have to list all names and nationalities.

Okay so this will be before or during the interview process then? I should not have to worry about it while filling the I-129F?

Yea I could not find any instance where it would take that long either but still had me worried. Thank you for your help! I really appreciate it, I am pretty new to this whole thing and I tend to overthink alot and stress myself out constantly.

Have you properly documented "other" names used and provided evidence of all legal name changes

For myself yes because I became a U.S citizen when my parents became a U.S citizen and had a name change back then, but for her I have not yet because her name change is based on her different passport and the legal document to prove that would be both her passports.

I highly doubt the passport is the name change document itself.   There must be something else that legally changed her name to which she used to apply for the passport in her new legal name.

YMMV

I am not sure on that one, maybe since the passport did not expire yet both are valid? I know in College here in the U.S I have met Chinese students who said they are both U.S and Chinese citizens so I guess there is a way?

I will ask her other documents on this topic.
