Auckland Consulate-waiting for P3

Hi everyone! Thanks to @Greenbaum’s DHL tracking hack, I’ve been notified that our case has arrived at the US Consulate in Auckland. Now, for those who have gone through this process already, do you know how long it took before the consulate contacted the beneficiary? And also, has anyone scheduled a K1 interview there lately? Was there any backlog due to COVID-19? Thanks!

It has been almost two years for us, but packet 3 was sent in the form of an email to me (petitioner).  I forwarded it to my (now) husband, and from then he was the one to communicate with the embassy regarding sending documents and scheduling the interview.  Auckland was very efficient, at least at that time.

Edited to add:  I got the packet 3 email within three days of the petition arriving at the consulate, IIRC.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1R4ScahjwyfABUukA8Vt_MhrqY5NP8zr3/view?usp=sharing that's the P3 for New Zealand that lists the required documents and procedures needed for the visa. Make sure you figure out where the approved doctor is that can do the medical.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

A couple of other places to be aware of that can help

Thank you for the response. I just got the email from the consulate and I’m forwarding it to my fiancé now! After dealing with the USCIS and the NVC, it’s a bit startling (but exciting!) how fast and efficient the Auckland consulate is!

Awesome!  Yes, Auckland has things together.  The medical was also a breeze, in fact my husband is personal friends with the husband of one of the doctors there.  Once the petition was sent down by the NVC, things went quite fast.  We were lucky.

@Jorgedig we just sent the necessary documents back to Auckland and now we wait...I think? I'm confused on whether or not the consulate will contact you to make an appointment.  If so, how long did it take for the consulate to contact you?

Yes, the consulate contacted my fiancé with an appointment date after receiving his packet 4 documents.  This was two years ago, and it was quite speedy.  Maybe a week?  It may take longer these days, if they are still recovering from backups.
