so i was assaulted by my husband and i did my interview for my n400 amd pass and still waiting for the final word from my i751. since i am separated and i am getting a restraining order, what are my opions now. i cant afford a lawyer. i need help

first :  Did you make a police report?

second:  Did the police take you to a shelter

third:  is the shelter helping with a lawyer

Do What Jeanne suggests, and retain all paperwork. You are now a battered spouse. I would at least do a consult with an attorney.

Here is the way I see all this as far as your green card and citizenship.

Your still married. Divorces take time.

You qualified for the 10 year green card..... results can come in a few days or weeks

You qualified to file your N400 and passed the interview and tests.

Just let life happen and take your benefits. You are still married and maybe for a while.... see what happens

As long as you do not get legally divorced before approval, there is nothing to do at this time but wait.

yes i made a report 

no they did not take me to a shelter. i am currently sleeping on a friends couch.

no shelter but i am trying to find a legal aid lawyer.

i called uscis to find out what happen, they told me 30 days waiting. so in the mean time im seeking a restraining order and im gonna live om my friends couch for as long as i can
