Yeah I have heard of this very thing. Just explain what happened, you were going through the zillion yes/no questions they ask, ticked the wrong box, looked at the copy you have later, and realized that "Oh, this should be yes instead, whoops".

Thank you so much for quickly responding !!!! Yes putting together all those papers was one of the hardest things I did in my life. PAINFUL

I even added an extra page to my I485 to explain that I worked without authorization and I’m out of status. In that case it’s obvious I did a mistake with the YES/NO question. Hopefully they won’t make a big deal about it.

I’m preparing for my AOS interview as I mentioned a couple days ago...

I’m going over my I485 that I submitted with my I360 and I just noticed I answered one of the yes or no questions in my I485 wrong :( I’m a little freaking out.

PART 8 - Question 16 - “Have you ever worked in the U.S. without authorization?” I answered NO but I did work without authorization.

PART 8 - Question 17 - ”Have you ever violated the terms and conditions of your nonimmigrant status?” I answered YES to this regarding my working without authorization.

Can someone please tell me if I can clarify this with the officer during my interview? I can’t believe I put this wrong :( my interview is on the 22nd of October.

@Stillwinning!!!😊 @Pinkrlion @sandranj  @Villanelle @TBoneTX

seems like both answers should have been "yes".
So I see only question 16 with a wrong answer..

Hello everyone

I hope everyone is safety and good!

im new here on this forum and I hope I can express my self correct so I can get help from you all!

I filled  up for I-360 on 05/06/2018 and RFE was received on 09/21/2018 and since that nothing haven changed on my cases!

my lawyer applied again this month for my 3rd EAD and USCIS denied my form I-131 for travel documentation! I was in my country this year with my current EAD with travel permit which is gonna expired 01/13/2021!

what you guys thinking ? You guys think I can travel with my current EAD?

I’m so sad cause I’m paying my lawyer $13k yes that’s a lotttt money I’m getting crazy to pay then and when I need information about my case they treat me like nothing !

Don't worry too much...fix it at your interview like I advised earlier! That is the purpose of the interview...straighten out issues! Nothing will stop your approval!😊👍

$13k is a pretty hefty sum to pay for any petition! Wow! Does your attorney work in the oval office? Is he a celebrity attorney?😳 Oh dear! Anyway moving forward..you can usually travel within the validity of your AP(guessing you mean combo card)...you mentioned you did previously..then you should be able to again..just make sure you get back here before midnight!😀 lol..get back before it expires! Your attorney should renew your AP asap and do it properly with the relevant supporting documents and appropriate form!👍

Sorry to hear it's taking so long for them to approve your case. You can travel with your EAD but make sure you are back before it expires. Ask you attorney if he received any reason on why it was denied. You can also write to Vermont requesting a reason on why it was denied if I am not mistaken. Also you should reach out to your local Congressman/woman and to get any update on your case.

Sure you can go ahead and file i765(C9) under the pending i485. Here's what you need👇👇👇

EAD Application Documents
  • Fee payment, unless required or waived. ...($410)
  • Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.
  • Receipt notice for the pending I-485
  • A copy of Form I-94, non-immigrant arrival/departure record, if available.
  • A copy of your last EAD (front and back), if available.
  • 2 identical photographs.

Hi,

Can someone confirm if the category would be C9 or C9P for pending i360, pending marriage based i485.

Posted

Thanks! C31 is filed only for an approved i360 petition correct?

We have a pending i360 with pending marriage i485 requested to be held in abeyance. So our category should be C09, correct?

If we put C09 as the category, do we still have to submit i-131 along with i765?

Hello Sandra and Still winning:

So I finally received the RFE in the mail. They need additional evidences the I resided with the abuser besides the ones I submitted. They believe I did not move back and my primary residence was not with the abuser. This is due to the transactions that I had in our joint statements form out of state and having another residence in.different state due to a demanding job that requires to be onsite in away from my home state. Not sure how to handle this one

Ask the landlord a letter stating you lived there ,get affidavits from friends and family stating you lived with your husband from xxxxx to xxxx. Your friends should at least mention when they went to your home and saw you were there with husband, ask one of them to describe your  home.

Still pondering on your case and I must say I'm personally annoyed at this sum you were made to pay!!! This is robbery! And to add that they treat you like trash whenever you reach out? Hell no!!! For that sum, I'll have my own office space in that law firm! No kidding! They better move over when I come through! Good thing you've reached out to VJ where you can get all kinds of support and priceless information! But don't be a door mat and let them walk all over you....stand up and let them begin to treat you like royalty! You are their boss and a celebrity for that retainer fee! Act like it!😏💁
