Thank you very much. I actually spoke to my lawyer regarding the C(09) issue. She still insist that what she filled I.e C(31) was the right category. I will have to take my destiny in my hands and file another I-765 myself. Only thing is that Am using her address for my correspondence.

Well she's wrong and yeah you should file on your own. Can always just put your own address on the I-765 unless it's literally unsafe for the notice to end up there.

Finally you could print out some information on VAWA associated EADs and forward them to her.

Hi fam,

I've got some bad update on my case =\ My 485,131,765 were rejected because the officer didn't approve a fee waiver. I haven't worked since July 2019 and I was the one who left the residence so I'm basically homeless. I have savings account that I showed with money that I got with the divorce settlement and I was planning on living off of it for 7-8 months while waiting for EAD. But now I'm either file everything again asking for waiver and hoping another officer will be kinder, or pay those fees out of that savings, which is almost 30% of what I have and need to last me until I can work 😭 And with the fees changing starting October 2 to ask for a waiver for the 2nd time would be a true Russian roulette 😥

So it is really upsetting to get that decision, plus waste so much time [everything was filed July 23].

Looks like it's the first bad news in this thread, sorry. At least I-360 received and pending!

Really sorry about your situation dear..I give good hugs..xoxo😊 people here need love and affection first. Do you have an attorney? I'm wondering why they didn't accept your petitions. We've seen and heard worse. If I were in your situation I'll just pay..that's me though..I hate stress! I hope Sandra has something to say about this.😘💞

They are taking 7/8 months to issue the work permit.

Thanks for your reply. But my lawyer filled C(31) on the I-765 form. This is my concern.

So far I see you're on course..you can aak for help from both..I did same too just to spread my options and see who gives me feedback first. Your I360 was only approved this January..RFE for i485 in June...it's good so far..there's absolutely no cause for alarm! You should be in line for an interview.😊👍

I know...I’m not in alarm mode but I just wanna be cautious/proactive I guess. I don’t want my file to get lost in NBC while I’m waiting for an interview spot in local office :)

thx for your reply btw :) Idk how you still make the time for this thread even though you already got your GC :)

Absolutely sweety. How are you holding up?😊💞

I'm frustrated because I found out I can renew my birth paper online with two forms of ID and it ships straight to me. I received an email that I need to submit another form of ID because my passport is expired. I sent a copy of the work permit and I explained to them that I took my passport to the consulate office to be renewed in January and I still did not get it back yet so I sent a copy of my work permit. I called the registra office this morning to see if it was accepted, they said they can't accept the work permit because they need another ID with a signature which I dont have. I'm tired

Hello all! I just found this forum, and hope someone can give me info. I just received my approval for my I 360, (YAY!) filed in 2018. I checked the box in question 12, 'do you require an EAD'. I did not file concurrently for the 485, and 765, but am about to do so. My approval notices state that the EAD will be sent separately, and my lawyer received a response to her inquiry saying it had been sent, however due to a backlog, may go to the new safe address. How long did it take anyone else in this situation to receive their EAD??

A few questions, friends.

  1. How long did it take you all to gather everything and submit your I-360 application?
  2. I've been seeing a counselor, but my counselor is not a psychologist and she's not able to perform a psychological evaluation. The lawyer I spoke to informed me that the psychologist she works with is not accepting any new cases this year. The other psychologist I found on my own asked me to have legal representation and get a referral. How do I got about doing this whole process right? Where do I start?
  3. It has not been easy for me researching and talking to different parties. I feel like there's stigma and shame attached to being a male victim, and I feel like the available resources for men are much less due to the presumption that males are the perpetrators and the offenders in majority of domestic violence cases, which is somewhat related to older traditional beliefs on gender role expectations. Has anyone else faced setback due to this dynamic?

Sorry I don't mean to be negative or bring negativity around.
