Guys just because you have a lawyer ( someone with a degree in immigration) don't assume they know everything. Especially if their specialty is not VAWA. Double check your paper work for yourself. Also if possible insist on the paper work/ evidence that they need to send.

My lawyer overlooked some stuff too, and I paid for it down the line big-time.

At the end of the day only the Good Lord will make a way.

Now, I check and recheck my paperwork for myself. I do my own research and I use that to move forward.

If you go back to old threads here on VJ, as far back as five, six years, you will find alot of information about VAWA that Sandra used to give.

Human is to error. Even a lawyer can mess up. So double check for yourself.

True! Everything we're saying now in succeeding threads are just reiterating/replicating all that has been said in earlier threads..that's why it's often advised to read previous threads..very helpful. Before I ever made an entrance here, I meticulously read the threads through and through that when I finally joined in, I was answering questions instead of asking them.😊

I  started the vawa process since Nov 2016. I totally regret leaving my home country and my good job. I hope it works out soon. I've not seen my family in 7years. Can't wait!

Destiny my friend....

hindsight is something right... you left all that behind to build a life with someone, you sacrificed all they you were familiar with and then your trust was broken so badly. It was not your fault and you could not have predicted any of this. Hang in there, it will be over soon 🤗

If not..you're good to go!✈

I believe the new i485 is linked to your i360..so what was that about your attorney filing motion to reopen the previous i485?

He filed that, before filing for Vawa, so that we don't end in removal proceeding, as far as he told me, and then we filed for Vawa and few months later Filed new I-485 along with a copy of prima facia.

Thank you @Stillwinning!!!😊  this been nerve wrecking. Lots of waiting without certainty. I try to keep myself distracted as much as I can. I hope they respond soon. Best of luck to all of us waiting out there.

Guess what! I just saw my case status change again! USCIS is requesting additional evidence. I wonder what could it be this time?. The previous one for proof of Mental abuse and I sent Psychologist report and a detailed evaluation from another psychologist.
