I just want to spread some positivity to someone tonight. I am awaiting i485 interview but I still come every now and then to read your stories. I used to check this board like crazy because nobody understands us like us. By the grace of the Great lord we will all have our papers. There is a light at the end of every tunnel, sometimes anxiety gets the best of us but then just imagine what if there was no such law as VAWA? Then what would life be like? Do not deny the favors of our lord. This too shall pass. Breath! Everything and its timing.

Hello Guys,

 

I hope everyone this thread is keeping well and staying positive. I need some advice from your kind selves. I have a Combo Card (EAD/AP) which express on the first of January 2021 and I am considering renewing it since I am not sure when my GC will be approved of AOS interview will be scheduled. I obtained my VAWA approval July 2020  and I was told that I would be notified when a decision is reached on my I-485 AOS application (standard letter). I was expecting to receive a C31 EAD card following this approval but I have not. So my question really is, do I file for another Combo Card (C31) based on my approved I-360 (which seems to attract a cost) or do I file based on my pending I-485 (C9), which happens to be free. You kind response will be greatly appreciated.

Best to file with (C9) as it is free, make sure to get the correct version of i-765 form as the current one is 08/25/2020 and the new one goes in effect on 10/02/2020.

Precious, it means you are not in the immigration court system. They have not put you in removal.

Guys, sorry to disturb you, y'all know I'm impatient and I overthink, so yesterday it said my i765 new card is being produced, but today it changed to case has been approved, so I don't know what to think, isn't case supposed to be approved before new card is being produced?

I am sending ar 11 change of address form to vermont.

since my i485 is with nbc now, should i send ar 11 form to nbc as well? If yes, what is the nbc address ?

It's card being produced before case approved..so you're good! What's the real worry anyways? You're approved..does it matter which one comes first?💁

It's supposed to be VSC and VSC alone..as a vawa petitioner! It's even there in the uscis website.👍
