Coming in with a quick question..

Applied for EAD + advanced parole renewal 6 weeks ago, lawyer hasn't shared receipts yet. Is it taking that long nowadays ??

Thanks for your help always!

is taking 4-8 weeks to get the receipt. I had a very weird renewal last time a never got my renewal receipt and it was approved 90 days after I sent it.. I just received the Actual EAD Card and Approval notice from that date my attorney sent the renewal.

Thanks for clarifying! You're so knowledgeable in this. I guess my fear is that if it gets denied, do they tell you to voluntarily leave the country, deport you, sentence or give you the fine?

If it gets denied, you can appeal or refile

Hi everyone........I hope that you are all very very well...

I hoping that someone will share...

Did anyone here tried ever going to Immigration court because the VAWA was denied?? I am very curious what is the outcome and what we can expect if this happens to us that we go to court and see the judge......

Hey guys... I got an update on my I-360 receipt today. It says that " on September 25 we received correspondence from you....we are working on it and will reach out if anything else is needed...."

the thing is,  I did not send anything but a change of address AR-11 as I have moved about 2 months ago.  I have done the address change on I-485 in the past when I moved out of my ex's and my home but never got any update like this. Thoughts?

Hey @sandranj @Demise need help again. Remember I said I am in removal proceedings with a pending i360 (since October 2019). I told my lawyer to file i485 and admin close the proceedings. She said , she's concerned that the application will be rejected because the i360 is not approved yet and she doesn't know if she can send the application to Texas or vermont (vermont may reject coz the i360 is not approved yet and Texas may reject because of wrong filing address). She also said the court doesn't close proceedings these days. She admitted that my case is her first case where she has to file i485 before i360 approval. Please Help @sandranj @Demise

Which state are you in?

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.

Then yeah, getting an administrative closure is pretty much impossible. Sessions had to overrule the BIA and decide that IJs basically have no authority to grant admin closure. Only 4th Circuit disagreed (4th Cir covers WV, VA, NC, and SC).

With the pending I-360 it is very unlikely the judge would just terminate the proceedings.

So well, file with the special lockbox in Texas (rather than the VSC) and file I-485 with the court. The judge should then just grant you continuances until VSC rules on the I-360.

Thank you. Is there any advantage in filing i485 before i360 approval? Or I can just wait until i360 is approved to file I 485? @sandranj @Demise

You placate the judge and since you have a pending application for relief now you can't get ordered deported, that is the main benefit in your particular case.

Honestly considering the current processing backlogs at USCIS it might be faster to actually just have the judge approve the I-485 once the I-360 is finally approved.

Just wanted to update about my I765 combo application

1st application sent over night they return asking to send again with the latest new form Versions.

2nd application with new form sent with a check for 410 for i765 and to my surprise they took it out from my account.

I added a note application under pending i485 Category C09 and fees not required in C09 . but they still took the fees from my account.

you need to send the initial payment receipt (i-797c NOA for i-485)

Hello fam,

I finally received a notification that my i360 was approved!!!!!!!!

I don't even know if what I'm feeling is relief or excitement. It has been such a long, frustrating wait and I owe my sanity to all of you on here. Thank you so much.

My timeline is as follows:

Nov 2017 - i130, i485, i765

Nov 2018 - i360

May 2020 - i360 RFE received

July 2020 - RFE sent

Aug 2020 - EAD produced

Sep 2020 - i360 approved

I know I have to request a transfer of my i485 to my local NJ office, but the problem is I can't find my i485 receipt notice.

My questions are as follows:

1. Can I request for a duplicate i485 receipt notice? If yes, how?

2. If no, what are my options?

3. How do I request for my existing i485 application to be linked to my i360 and transferred to my local NJ office? Just by sending a letter to Vermont office?

4. What documents do I need to send to USCIS now that my i360 has been approved, to proceed with my green card application?

Thank you for all your advice as always.

congratulations!!!!
