Can you believe I asked my lawyer if he is accompanying me to my interview he’s gonna tell me that it’s an additional 2,000. So I emailed him back and said “here I was thinking it was a part of my pervious payment”. 🙄 Can you believe this man! I was gonna tell him it’s okay I’ll go with God. He has not done anything, everything I’ve done by myself, every information I got was by my queries. I’m the one that told him when everything substantial happened for Christ sakes. I’m trying so hard to be annoyed. Like he thinks I’m gonna give home another 2,000 just to come sit pretty. I’ll do that on my own.

$2000 just to go with you? He might as well approve you and issue your green card! What a crook! They stay trying to reap where they never sowed! Vulnerable VAWA petitioners are their new pot of gold! Quite sad! Feeding off of people's pains! Tell him to sit tight while you go get your greencard! WTH!😏

After the latest honest conversation I had with my own attorney, when I explained her that it was not that I did not want to pay for her time, but that I was not able to afford it, I perceived a change on her attitude. In my case, she agreed since the beginning to go with me to the interview as part of the fees I paid her. But maybe that was not your case.

Although I feel what you say, I would spend one hour with my attorney (even if I have to pay for that hour consultation) and bring a list of ALL questions I have for him/her to get me ready for the interview. Then during interview don't be afraid of be vulnerable and honest with the Officer about not being able to afford the time of the attorney to come with you but that you hope to be able to answer any questions they may have for you.

I would also ask my attorney to be "on call" in case you need to call him during your interview for the officer to answer any questions you are not able to. Of course you want to pay for your attorney's time if used.

You were scheduled. That is what matters. There is always a way. "In God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE"

Also @SamIAm876 you don't have to pay an attorney who speaking from your own words, didn't do nothing for you..instead you were the one gathering info and researching by yourself! You can get thousands of interview experiences and suggestions here for free! I had an attorney but went by myself..I'm not dumb rather brilliant even if I do say so myself! Why I gotta pay someone who I'm feeding with info? Yikes! NOT!!! Keep your money honey..don't do it!😏

Girl let me tell you, I have a few choice words to tell me him. But I’m gonna leave it until I do his review he’s been begging me to do for over year now. Luckily I was never one to leave the faith of my petition in his hands. I went over his work when he filled out the form found some mistakes and had him correct it. I supplied him with everything so I wouldn’t get a RFE, when I gave him all the documents he was like I don’t need so many things. I told him I want them to be sent to USCIS because I wasn’t taking any chances, the only RFE I got was for police clearance from home country and I told him about that. I told him when my VAWA was approved, I told him my interview date. He’s not about to sit pretty with 2,000 more from my hard earned money.

I specifically remembered when i gave him my money it included coming to the interview with me. The only thing he said to me was if I was to ever have to go to court for any reason then I would have to pay for that. He’s a crook.

This changes the situation. There was a verbal agreement between you two. Then he will have to come with you to the interview at no cost per such agreement, even if it was a verbal agreement. Put this on and email and send it to him and he will understand you are now speaking in legal terms and you are aware of your rights.

I wasn’t even considering it. It’s just ridiculous but I’m leaving him to time. I’ll gather all my documents and do what I have to do. Thank you @Stillwinning!!!😊 My prayers never go unanswered. I’ve been through so much and God had gotten me through all of it he’s get me through this too.
