I simply wanted to thank everyone for helping me so far with my situation.

 

Right now it's a daily battle for me.  My husband, ex-husband, or whatever he is has been sweet.  He has said that this experience has humbled him.  I won't lie, I'm tempted to go back but I still has doubts that he has changed. 

 

Anyways, as I has previously mentioned I'm debating if I should stay here in the States or move back to Canada while I go forward with my VAWA case. As I stated, I stayed in the States because my husband said he will file for my green card, except it took him upwards of three years to finally do it. During this time, I overstayed my tourist visa.  The abuse was happening during this time as well.  I'm not living at my old place, but in a somewhat less desirable situation.  I really don't know where else to go except back to Canada.  I'm fearful of I were to do that, I have even another hoop to jump through.  

 

I talked to my lawyer about this situation, and she explained I can be exempted from the ten year ban. But it is up to up to consular processing.  It just seems like it's another hurdle to overcome.

Hello all, i am trying to figure out what happened with my i-765 renewal application. I am on i-360 pending (i-485). Sent my i-765 (c9) renewal to VSC on 07-27-20 but still haven't received the i-797C (NOA), is there a long processing time at VSC should i send them an inquiry or should i send another application for i-765 (my current EAD is good till end of 03/21) Thanks All!

I just went to interview this morning 9/14/2020 8:00 am , but they gave me : your case must be reviewed. 
Officer told me : anything is good 

i asked her do I need provide other  document to you .

she said : I will be review .

but I still get notice :your case must be reviewed 

so I don’t know what can I to do right now

-why I filed VAWA

-when I stop working ? Why ? I said EAD expired

-why my case dismissed , they not accept this dismissed notice , I already told her that is dismissed notice , but she still said maybe need more document . Even I told her judge already sign agreement expunction this record .

due to I have one arrested but I didn’t have go to court and then dismissed.

@Kiesel A healthy hesitation is ok to make sure all is in order. But hesitation is a way for procrastination and sure regrets later. Can't have that!!!

Since you're on this forum, we all already know, that is the right path for you.

As soon as you feel like you have a clear mind, focus and get it done. (If it helps aim for deadline before the fees get higher in Oct). The relieve after you have filed is tremendous. Your only regret will be not to do it sooner!

Is the divorce is on the ground of abuse and why you got aressted

Divorce is not on the ground of abuse .

arrest is charge family violence ，but that is not trust .I never have to went to court , on court day I went to court , they said already reject this case and dismissed.

For arrest records, there is no such thing as expungement for immigration.  You will still be investigated for moral character.  They will probably ask for more detailed court information.  Do not stress, just provide the documents and you will be approved.

By the time your case reaches a supervisor it will change from review to card production! The officer wasn't supposed to ask i360 questions! Vermont did that already! Imagine him asking you why your husband abused you...duhh my smart mouth will say..umm because I asked him to!😏  what a question! I pray for the rest of you waiting to not encounter such party poopers! Bubble busters! Kill joys! Claudia you'll be alright!🙏😊

she Over and over asked why DA Dismissed my case ? What reason ? I said INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE. But she asked the reason .

she is coloured race officer , Dark brown Skin lady , and her office room have a lot of “ happy birthday “ celebrate dress up on the wall .

 

i think so she should be happy . But I Don’t know  why she asked a lot of abuse question and not accept my dismissed notice

Dear, did you have a lawyer with you? It doesn’t sound normal that the officer asked you questions regarding being abused.

hello, do vawa work permits have automatic 180 extensions under category c9? if i applied the first time for the combo card would I get that extension?Automatic-Employment Extension

Yes. Both C9 and C31 do, combo card falls under C9.

When you reapply, your NOA1 will state the extension on it.
