Congrats. Could you please explain the process after your I-485 got approved?

I had mine approved 2 weeks ago. Got written approval notice this week. No green card and no welcome letter. How soon did you get green card and welcome letter?

How long it took to get interview after approval? Could you please share your time line? @Godschild @ponak98

Hello All,

hope you are doing well.

i am putting documents together though I haven’t received aos interview notice yet.

qq:

- Do we need to take I-94. For some reason i am unable to retrieve I-94 from official site. Its says record not found.
- and how about Police Clearance certificate from current location?

- Should I take the copy of comprehensive  vawa and aos packages sent to CIS?

Thanks for your help!!

Yes VAWA approved documents is all you need, include your C-31 EAD and your  passport if necessary. You don’t need to take your aos package 👍

So as I understand I-94, vawa package or aos package is not required. Correct? I Will take vawa approval notice, birth certificate, marriage license original documents. Thank you so much!!

Correct, and the interview notice if you later receive it, interview notice will be your passport to Uscis building on the day of your interview 🙏

Good luck on your interview. It’s pretty simple and straightforward. You need to take passport, VAwA approval, EAD cards, Diver’s license and your divorce decree if you’re divorced. The rest is already in your file. Are you going alone? Or with an attorney?

Appreciate your help! I will be going by myself. My attorney won’t accompany me.

You do not need any of the above.  Your interview letter will tell you what they need that is missing from your file.

You need your medical, ID/Passport, EAD Card, and whatever they request in the letter.
