First of I came here with a J1 Visa. I arrived here in August 2014 and by January 3, 2015 I met my abusive narc Ex husband. We bought a house here in the USA and I sold my apartment in Colombia to help him buy our house that ended up being in only his name. I went to the Spouse abuse resource center where I found help and they took my case. I filed separately because I had my J1 current. My J1 expired June 2020 and I received my new card on January, 2020. Now I am in the process of filing my GC. I know I waited a long time to file for the GC but I did not have the money. This past week I was finally able to pay the fee and my attorney is putting all the documents together to send the I-765 to replace my EAD, advance parole and I-485

 

Here is my timeline. 

 

April 10, 2018 My I-360 was received and the filing fee was waived 

March 11, 2019 prima facie

October 11, 2019 RFE

January 9, 2020 RFE document received by Uscis

January 17, 2020 new card was ordered

January 22, 2020 card was mailed

January 24, 2020 card delivered

June 4, 2020 Case Was Approved

 

Hopefully soon all the documents will be sent. My only concern is the my medical records were signed by my doctor more than 60 days ago. I think I might have to do ask for medical record again but It's ok.

How long do you guys think the GC will take? Maybe 2 more years??? Well, as we say in my country. Quien espera lo mucho espera lo poco. I waited for a long time and 2 years is just a lil bit more time.

 

I love this Forum and after lurking here for 2 year I finally join to let you know my timeline. Anyone with a similar case?  Have a good one everyone!

Hi VJ family, I hope everyone doing well, I have been waiting 25+ month for i485 interview no words from USCIS.I have done inquiry by Congress person last July .My file right now NBC. I’m feeling highly anxious. Plz advise if I have any other option to move forward. Thank You!

It's really a long time...your anxiety is understandable..it will help to keep pressuring your congressperson..really don't know why they drag on some cases..keep pushing.👍

PD I360 - April 2019

PD I485 & I765- Feb 2020

EAD C09 - June 2020

EAD C31 - Sept 2020 no RFE

I485 RFE - Nov 2020

 

I did not get I360 Approval letter. I was expecting approval letter only to get RFE for I485 from NBC. They requested for birth certificate which I had submitted before. I did not submit medicals as at when I applied with form I485. I am tempted to send the birth certificate again now with the medicals. Is there any negative consequences if I submit medicals with the birth certificate since RFE was for birth cerificate?

It’s a good idea to submit both and there will be no problem, by doing that, you might get your GC without interview.🙏
