A couple of pleasant technical reminders:

-- The "report post" link (upper right of every post) is your best friend.

-- If someone makes a booboo, avoid quoting the same booboo, because it can be missed.

Thank you!
I submitted everything what was listed on the instructions self declaration, declarations from friends and my mom. A lot of pictures together. Different notes form me to my husband, from his son to me. Screenshots of conversation with ex, his mom, our friends. I had a picture of gift for Christmas from our neighbor. Bank statements, bills, insurance information etc.  I had police report, had physiology evaluation but very very poor. It has just couple bullets because for that time I had just 3-4 therapy sessions.

I had background check form my own country.

Also pictures of my bruises after fight, broken mirror, my clothes which my abuser was throwing around the house etc.

All together I had 241 pages.

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all safe. Sept marked my 2 yr VAWA anniversary. My lawyer inquired via email and was told my case was in local NY office already on April 2020 and the approval letter came July 2020. It is taking forever! The other filers here were obv lucky having their cases moved faster than mine. What do I do? I have coming days off in December but I was told to call for an infopass schedule before two weeks of my days off bec apparently USCIS does the schedule for infopass (?). I am a nurse and I can’t just ask for a day off anytime given we’re short staffed! It’s upsetting and anxiety provoking given I’ve been waiting this long. Thoughts???

Well since you've already been told your case has progressed to the local office, it's best to just wait it out..it's obviously in line for an interview. You made it this far..a few weeks or months wouldn't hurt. And oh..happy VAWA anniversary.😊🇺🇸

Hello Everyone. I wanted to share my timeline with you all.

First of I came here with a J1 Visa. I arrived here in August 2014 and by January 3, 2015 I met my abusive narc Ex husband. We bought a house here in the USA and I sold my apartment in Colombia to help him buy our house that ended up being in only his name. We got Married October that same year and I left the house for the last time March 2017 after what seem to me years and years of physical, emotional and sexual abuse. I went to the Spouse abuse resource center where I found help and they took my case. I filed separately because I had my J1 current. My J1 expired June 2020 and I received my new card on January, 2020. Now I am in the process of filing my GC. I know I waited a long time to file for the GC but I did not have the money. This past week I was finally able to pay the fee and my attorney is putting all the documents together to send the I-765 to replace my EAD, advance parole and I-485

Here is my timeline.

April 10, 2018 My I-360 was received and the filing fee was waived
March 11, 2019 prima facie
October 11, 2019 RFE
January 9, 2020 RFE document received by Uscis
January 17, 2020 new card was ordered
January 22, 2020 card was mailed
January 24, 2020 card delivered
June 4, 2020 Case Was Approved

Hopefully soon all the documents will be sent. My only concern is the my medical records were signed by my doctor more than 60 days ago. I think I might have to do ask for medical record again but It's ok.
How long do you guys think the GC will take? Maybe 2 more years??? Well, as we say in my country. Quien espera lo mucho espera lo poco. I waited for a long time and 2 years is just a lil bit more time.

I love this Forum and after lurking here for 2 year I finally join to let you know my timeline. Anyone with a similar case?  Have a good one everyone!

Wow! You're a strong woman! Good thing your i360 is approved..i485 takes anywhere from 5-17months depending on your location. N.Y. is the craziest..I'm an N.Y. survivor..anyone can make it too. Keep being strong ... in no time you'll share another news!💪👍😊
