Thank you @Stillwinning!!!😊. Thank you @sandranj. Thank you @Engineering-rocks and many many others for all your support!!!

my timeline (atlanta)

I-360 / I-485 filed in Nov 2018. I-360 approved in April 2020. I-485 approved in Nov 2020.

can someone help me to see guidance for rules to maintain the green card. I heard that one must be in the US at least 6 months a year. Also, in 2.5 years I can apply for citizenship. Anything else I am missing?

You can apply for naturalization after 2 years and 9 months if your ex spouse is a U.S Citizen. To maintain your green card  file your tax return every year and  continue  being a law- abiding person.

I just got my greencard delivered. Cried a little. It took some years out of my life but I guess it’s time to leave the past in the past and move forward. 😊

Permanent resident card for 10 years. It says category IB6, if you google what that means you are a self petitioner under VAWA. I wish it wasn’t so obvious on my card but I guess whatever :)

I wish everyone lots of patience and good luck. I’m still processing its reality... I’m not an illegal now?... I can go see my family whenever I want? I don’t have to avoid conversations with people worrying what if they ask me this or that? Etc etc

Lots of thanks to everyone who answered my questions here 🙏🎈😊❤️

IB6 means  the person was battered or suffered psychological abuse.

Hello VJ family. Hope all of you are doing well. I have 2 question. I cashed the stimulus check IRS sent and friend of mine told me I am not supposed to cash it since I am not citizen or green card holder. He told me this have bad affect when I go to interview. He said this could also affect my citizenship process even if I get my greencard. Also I have one more question. I have so much debt and I am considering filing a bankruptcy at some point if I can't figure out(please keep you judgment to yourself if you will complain) so what would happened if I file bankruptcy. I have i360 approved. Waiting for interview. Does it matter filing bankruptcy before interview or after interview. Would that affect my possible citizenship application in the future. Regards

Your friend is wrong, considering  that you have a SSN then you were eligible to receive the stimulus check.Filing for bankruptcy doesn't affect your immigration status.

Hey everyone!!

Quick question, I submitted my I-765 on June 08th then I sent a request to expedite in August. When I check online it’s says request for evidence received 82 days ago. My question is if I asked for expedite because of dire medical and financial reasons with evidence should it still be taking this long?
I’m not impatient but I’m a vawa applicant with no family or friends and things are getting tough sometimes I don’t know how I go on.

thanks in advance

USCIS  didn't expedite your case. To expedite a case  usually  they take 2/4 weeks. Keep in mind that USCIS  won't notify the person when a request to expedite is denied.

Thank you for the input anyone can give.

God bless

The questions 17 and 18 the person can correct the omission  during the interview, but because USCIS is approving some GC without interview then it's better if you correct your  omission now for you not have problem any problem during the naturalization process. Mention form I-485, the page, the item number. Add your alien number and your   case number as well.

if you  are subject to a two-year home residency requirement then you must file a waiver to overcome the "two-year home-country physical presence requirement" . I am saying this because you highlighted on  your post about the home residency requirement.

Did you try the e-request as mentioned on the update? Also this happened to my c31 EAD the mailman marked it returned and I had exactly the same notice you have but I tried to intercept at the post office made calls and when I went back to my OLD address, there it was in the mailbox. But up to this point the update I see online on the uscis website is still like that what ur showing. Also try to call the post office who services your lawyer's address they may still have it as it is recent and u may get lucky. Some people will be helpful to trace it for you. Just tell them the urgency of the situation.

He/she can't use the e-request because he is a I-360 self petitioner.ANY request to the USCIS regarding forms  I-360/I-485  the person must request by mail.

Hey family I Received Receipt for vawa and aos and EAD
my question is that mean I gave them the Requirement and the case Process

my lawyer told me he did not send all the evidence in case If they ask more we have as strong as the first evidence?

And if they sent me for more evidence it would slow the EAD timeline ? ( make it longer )

Your attorney is a jerk.USCIS is not obligated to send you a  request of evidence. There is a memorandum from USCIS stating about this,USCIS can deny a case without issuing  a  request of evidence or  a NOID. If your attorney is too busy to read the USCIS updates then tell her that google is her friend.

"... in this PM rescinds the 2013 PM’s “no possibility” policy and restores to the adjudicator full discretion to deny applications, petitions, and requests without first issuing an RFE or a NOID.

Does anybody know if it’s ok to use Medi-Cal after getting greencard? Or would it affect my citizenship application in 3 years? I’m unemployed due to covid and my health insurance is under Medi-Cal, this means I basically pay nothing. I never applied for it even with prima facie but with covid going on I wanted to be prepared just in case.

Is there any link or info that explains what we are expected to do or not to do when we apply for citizenship? Like VAWA self-petitioners are exempt from public charge when adjusting status but how about after receiving greencard? Are we still exempt from public charge? I’m waiting for my card, it’s been mailed to me. I just wanna do everything right from now on so I won’t have problems when I apply for citizenship.

You can use Medi-Cal without any problem ok.

@Makanaki I have two C09! Both valid in terms of expiry (2 months apart) but one is not a combo card and  I have one C31. On January 2020 I mistakenly wrote C31 on my application to renew my expiring c09. After 5 months of waiting I consulted with this group and I realized my mistake and hurriedly filed for a correct renewal application form before my EAD  expires. After that I received the combo card. But 2 months after they also sent me another C09 under the case number of the one I mistakenly filed on January 2020 but it isn't a combo card.

So yeah I have 2 C09 and 1C31 on hand.
