Wow congratulations dear! Now this is a big blessing!!! Your green card will be sent over and the approval notice! I'm excited for you!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙌😀

Thank you @Stillwinning!!!😊. Thank you @sandranj. Thank you @Engineering-rocks and many many others for all your support!!!

my timeline (atlanta)

I-360 / I-485 filed in Nov 2018. I-360 approved in April 2020. I-485 approved in Nov 2020.

can someone help me to see guidance for rules to maintain the green card. I heard that one must be in the US at least 6 months a year. Also, in 2.5 years I can apply for citizenship. Anything else I am missing?

I believe it's all available online..easy peasy.😊🙌🇺🇸 but you can start the process at 2yrs 9 months. Be of good character, file your taxes, try to avoid long stay abroad...(you're trying to establish permanent residency) so you should be here more than out there. Welcome to LPR status!😀🇺🇸

I just got my greencard delivered. Cried a little. It took some years out of my life but I guess it’s time to leave the past in the past and move forward. 😊

Permanent resident card for 10 years. It says category IB6, if you google what that means you are a self petitioner under VAWA. I wish it wasn’t so obvious on my card but I guess whatever :)

I wish everyone lots of patience and good luck. I’m still processing its reality... I’m not an illegal now?... I can go see my family whenever I want? I don’t have to avoid conversations with people worrying what if they ask me this or that? Etc etc

Lots of thanks to everyone who answered my questions here 🙏🎈😊❤️

Congratulations!

But to be clear, you're joking about the category thing right? Cause I won't care after waiting for over 4years 🤣🤣🤣

Ugh, I am completely frustrated. I sent the I-360 in over 26 months ago (August 2018). Got RFE'd in February, responded in May, and I'm still waiting. Like honestly the wait is worse than just getting denied after a while since with a denial you can at least do an autopsy and appeal or refile.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.

Hello VJ family. Hope all of you are doing well. I have 2 question. I cashed the stimulus check IRS sent and friend of mine told me I am not supposed to cash it since I am not citizen or green card holder. He told me this have bad affect when I go to interview. He said this could also affect my citizenship process even if I get my greencard. Also I have one more question. I have so much debt and I am considering filing a bankruptcy at some point if I can't figure out(please keep you judgment to yourself if you will complain) so what would happened if I file bankruptcy. I have i360 approved. Waiting for interview. Does it matter filing bankruptcy before interview or after interview. Would that affect my possible citizenship application in the future. Regards

I don't think stimulus check has any significance. Let's wait for the experts to answer the question on bankruptcy. Meanwhile, I'd encourage you to do a personal research on that. Goodluck

The stimulus check is not considered a public benefit, instead it's treated basically as a tax return. Everyone got one, most of us got it via a direct deposit so you couldn't say no even if you wanted to.

VAWA self-petitioners are exempt from the public charge ground of inadmissibility, moreover the ground is only relevant when it comes to seeking AOS (for groups that are not exempt), not when it comes to naturalization. That being said I'm not sure if bankruptcy even qualifies as being a public charge since that relates solely to receipt of public benefits.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.
