Hi VJ fam! So yesterday I received a notice from NBC on the i693 coz I really didn't submit before. Is it safe to get i693 now? Or wait for an interview notice before getting one?

Based on what I observed, if money is not really an issue for you right now. You can take a chance to submit it and hope that straight approval without interview. Otherwise just wait for your interview date and bring it there.

Goodluck to you and God bless always

I wouldn’t do it yet. Wait for them to request it or schedule your interview. Depending on your local office it could be a little while..

It's been said countless times here that you should only get the medicals done only when you have an interview date except USCIS specifically request for it to be sent it. So save yourself the trouble and wait..except of course you plan to send it in without them asking..πŸ’

I think it’s very risky not to send all your evidences at first. Is she going to charge you to reply to the RFE if you get one?Β But now it’s done.Β
I don’t think a RFE slows down the EAD. It can slow down your I-360.

Congrats on your approval. More blessings! @SalyeenΒ I have never understood the idea behind some attorneys reasoning that hoarding evidences can win your case..NO! put your best out there..that's the reason folks get approved faster than others..giving them bit by bit will only delay you..and probably enrich your attorney's pockets as he might likely charge you for RFE response..as I've seen countless times here by shady attorneys! SMH! Anyway what's done is done..you can always send in evidences anytime before final adjudication of your petition! All the best! Once again congratulations @Ana FLπŸ™ŒπŸ‘πŸ˜Š

thank you for your repliesΒ

Thanks @Stillwinning!!!😊 I sent my medicals to local office after receiving an RFE from them. Been 2 weeks already since mailed. Would you know how long it takes for them to make a decision?

Also @cindy122808Β the document specifically says to NOT mail in any documents at this time! Also advised that you bring it with you to your interview. The truth is thatΒ cases that USCIS determines could be approved without interview, they request for i693 or any missing document prior to approval! I know a few folks here that submitted medicals hoping to get lucky like the rest but are still waiting...most people here get responses about their case specifically needing an interview to proceed. I know how tempting it can be..but it's safer to follow instructions!πŸ‘

In your case USCIS requested for you to send it in no? I'm assuming yes. If so, it can take 2-3 monthsΒ more or less for an outcome.πŸ‘ wait for it.😊

Yep - they requested it and I mailed it to them. I found that my I-486Β status on their website has not changed for a while - even when I got medical RFE or courtesy letter on medicals. Do you they update status at least when green card is approved or I should wait for my lawyer to tell me as mails come to lawyers office?

Your status will surely change to reflect the decision on your i485 as seen here countless times. I understand you're both anxious and expectant..but it will be updated once an action is taken! Also the letters will be sent as usual!πŸ‘

Thank you for replying. I wasn't going to mail it without any notice yet I was just thinking to get it ready and done so that by the time they require it I am already done with it all I just have to do is bring it to interview or send it if they require RFE, because my concern is if I wait for the interview notice and only start doing it by then, I am not sure if doctors can accommodate me right away and there might be a long wait before I can be accommodated and I won't make it on the deadline. But I am also concern on the validity of the i693 (which I am confused about as well). That's what I am not so clear.

Also the online status doesn't change for requestsΒ like those you mentioned..only when an action is taken on your case!πŸ‘

Upon getting your interview letter, you will have a maximum of 14days or minimum of 7days to get your medicals done..I'm sure it's much safer than risking the possibility of the document elapsing!πŸ‘

Oh, that's the time frame I was looking for I wasn't clear on the validity of the document. Thanks for the clarification!
