I filed for the k1 visa for my fiancé (Morocco) and we are patiently waiting ,but I am a bit nervous regarding my income . In 2019 made about 25,800/ household 2 and  I believe you have to make about $21,550. Will I need a joint sponsor even if I meet the requirement ? I think it’s only required when you don’t meet the income requirement. Please correct me if I’m wrong.  Thank you !

Did you make more money in 2020? It’s highly unlikely you will have a k-1 interview in Morocco this year. So next year you will need to show your 2020 tax return, just make sure you file taxes right away.

With corona virus it’s probably the same

or a little bit more $ . Honestly I don’t make much . I just hope I won’t need a joint sponsor  . I don’t have kids so it would just be my fiancé and me .

Look into health care insurance in your area for your partner as you will need to provide this until the AOS is completed and he can work

and will you be able to afford the new AOS fees (start saving as it will be over $2000 after October 1st as now K1 has to pay for EAD,  AP and AOS ?

If you keep above that $25000 per year,  Casa will not be concerned but for AOS the income needs to be 125%

just to be safe prepare a joint sponsor / that's the safest way to go

If he has his own Income from his online business can we show that ?
The AOS income is around 21,000 For 2 . I know I barely make it but my concern is that they could turn us down for being so close to the minimum.
