What I don't understand is when I was in England, most of the menus for pizza carryouts listed American pizza having corn as a topping.

If it's so American, why isn't corn listed as a topping choice when I call pizza hut, little ceasars, papa john's or domino's? Even when I lived in Chicago and ordered from local places there... no corn. hmmm.

Um...yeah. My fiance eats tuna and corn on his pizza. ####### is that all about?

Tuna is good though on pizza with some red onion. Oh yeah. I thought it was weird too at first, but I got over it. I made a pizza with tuna on it the about two weeks ago. My mom walked by and asked me ####### was I doing. I thought she might throw up watching me eat it. Never had pizza with corn on it. I am not the biggest fan of corn though.

Hahahaha! That's fab. Yeah, we went to a pizza place in Nurnberg and were sharing a pizza, I vetoed the corn, but let him put tuna on half. It wasn't too bad.

When we make pizza at home, we make it with marinated tuna (one of those packet things), bell peppers, and onions. I love it.

I like brazilian pizza better than american pizza, but then again, I love pizza, crappy or good ones. My preference is due to the dough, american pizza after a couple of slices hurts my jaws. Another big thing for me is that in Brazil we have a wider variety of options for toppings, and different types of crusts that you can't find here, US doesn't have the THIN crust we find in Brazil, although I like chicago style deep dish and in Brazil I never saw any place that had that style.

Luis liked brazilian pizza, but he prefers american pizza, although I didn't take him anywhere for GOOD pizza in Brazil, and especially not to have São Paulo pizza.

EDIT: In Brazil, my favorite flavors are tomatos and fresh basil leaves, and boiled eggs, calabreza sausage, black olives and onions. I love catupiry but it's hard to find good chicken and catupiry pizzas, although when I do find them, they're terrific.

Of course I won't say no to the basic calabreza sausages and onions. Or mushrooms.

Pizzas that come with an assortment of toppings are also famous where I live, sometimes my and my brothers would order a pizza with calabreza sausage, ham, mushrooms, tomatos and LOADS of onions, we always ask for EXTRA onions.

The pizza flavors I don't care for in Brazil are the ones made from ANY type of seafood (even though I LOVE shrimp, just not on pizza), I'll specially steer clear of aliche pizza. And the meaty pizzas, I can stand pizzas that come with steak, pork, strogonoff, and the variations. It just doesn't fit.

Italian pizza

Growing up in Brooklyn around Bensonhurst, there's so many different Pizza eateries since there are lot of Italians around, you get the best pizza and nice decent slice.

There's this chain called SABARRO, i am not sure if they are still around, not like the mom and pop pizzeria but have lots of varieties.

Gone but not Forgotten!
