I like our pizza here in the US. I did try the pizza in Romania but I didn't care for it much. They put ketchup on top of theirs but I couldn't bring myself to do that. My husband even put garlic mayo and ketchup on his one time and was trying to get me to try it but I was about to gag watching him eat it.

I'm not a big pizza eater, only time I do, at least on a semi-regular basis, is whenever I'm in USA.

But atm, it's either Damme Good Pies in Little Rock (I think they've branched out a little) or Larry's Pizza franchise. Come on, chocolate dessert pizza?! OH HELLS YEAH :D

The Beginning

September 29th, 1999 - 'hooked' up with Dave after chatting with him for about a year online.

October 23rd, 2004 - September 29th, 5 years to the day, he proposed to me =D

July 23rd, 2005 - Dave comes over for the wedding on July 27th at the beach :)

Sometime in December, he sends off I-130 to Texas and promptly leaves me in the dark like a mushroom x.X...

The Saga Continues *dumdeduuummm*

August - phone NVC. intriguing :\ Phoned again, ah hah! the truth... no record of us >< losers... Go and visit Dave for 3 months...

What I don't understand is when I was in England, most of the menus for pizza carryouts listed American pizza having corn as a topping.

If it's so American, why isn't corn listed as a topping choice when I call pizza hut, little ceasars, papa john's or domino's? Even when I lived in Chicago and ordered from local places there... no corn. hmmm.

Um...yeah. My fiance eats tuna and corn on his pizza. ####### is that all about?

I don't know, maybe because i've been having brazilian pizza all my life and my favorite toppings (like frango com catupiry) we can't find here and I'm used to that. Here's all about pepperoni, boohoo. But yeah, it also depends on where to buy, Curitiba has excellent pizzas, Sao Paulo is famous for its Pizzas, Porto Alegre also has amazing pizza, but for example the city my mom lives is hard to find a good pizza, or smaller cities like Balneario Camboriu.

i voted american coz its what im use to. i went to a couple of pizza places in the philippines & sauce was sweet. it was okay but different not like home, just changed the flavor of the rest of the topings.

Ya know, I have traveled around the world and noticed that spaghetti sauce that we are used to in the states is hard to come by. Many places make it sweet. Even the good ol' American Ketchup taste is hard to find. Half the Ketchup in the countries I have been to give me more than just a stomach ache ;) haha.

Anyway, on the subject of Pizza. Pizza from around the world is to much like a cracker with sauce. Most joints have on the menu, like in Riga, Latvia's Cili Pizza has "American Pizza" which is thicker dough. It still does not live up to the taste of a nice thick Papa John's crust. Also, interesting enough, New York style pizza is quite different from American pizza. New York pizza is thin, and has an Italian influence. in a place like Miami, its difficult to find New York style pizza, so my taste buds have fallen in love with the nice thick crust! MMmm Mmmm Mmmm... anyway, no matter where I am in the world... pizza is still something I enjoy, but always anxious to come home to call 305-592-PAPA and order up a pie.

Mmmm, I love NY style pizza. They sell it in Central Florida because there are a lot of us living here. But...it's not the same.

My husband likes a lot of toppings on his pizza - and loads it up with ketchup AND mayo. I don't mind it that way now. I even like egg on my pizza.

Not sure about this...how would you classify American pizza? With pepperoni, sausage etc? I like my pizza with Canadian bacon and shrimp

Have you ever tryied Egyptian Pissa? It is the best! YUMMY

I voted for American pizza. And that, for me, means pizza I ate in the US. Because, I have eaten at a Pizza Hut here in Cairo (and in other countries), but the sauce was always different and it didn't taste the same. It was good, but nothing compares to my Papa John's. I also ate Chicago-style pizza in Chicago, and it was tooooo thick. The deep dish was too much bread for my taste. In Mexico, the pizza tasted somewhat fresher as far as the vegetables and sauces, but I prefer thick cheese, sweet sauce, and crispy pepperoni.

I have had Egyptian pizza, but I don't like it. I don't know what kind you all have tasted before, but the kind we have eaten was made with that goulash type bread that has about 6 layers. And I don't like those sausage-y type weiners they make pizzas with. The cheese has a sour taste to it, also.

I DO like the goulash type bread from Egypt when it's made with confectioner's sugar and it's nice and warm and flaky. They call it sugar pizza. But, that's a dessert: not pizza - IMO.
