K1 Visa 2 Year Meet In Person Hardship

Hello i wanted to ask i am petioner planning on filing fiance i129f visa application i have met fiance before in person on 3 seperate occasions but has been more than two years ago currently wouldnt like to travel because of pandemic situation i read somewhere where if we havent seen each other 2 years prior to filing with it causing hardship situation to petioner can pandemic situation be used as cause for hardship?

You MUST have met within 2 years of filing the petition...otherwise, you will face a rejection or denial. Exceptions to this requirement are extremely, extremely rare.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I don’t think this would work. Further. The pandemic is really at month 7 , so I think a red flag would be, why didn’t you see him/ her in the 17+ months prior to the pandemic. It’s best to meet again before filing everything.

Will not work.  You will be wasting $535.

One of the requirements of the K-1 is to have met in the prior two years of filing. I would give some thought to traveling to see the beneficiary and marry in their country and then return to the US and file the CR-1. It's easier and requires less money, just as fast as the K-1 and the beneficiary can begin to work almost as soon as they arrive and have their SSN. Traveling with the right precautions and what the airlines are doing to make your flight safe you may want to reconsider.

Agreed....the pandemic likely will not meet the burden required to waive that provision. It's extremely, extremely rare. It would be better to save the time and money to meet once you can.
