Could the debates do for President Donald Trump what the conventions didn’t?

A USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll indicates many voters think that’s possible.

A greater share – 47% – predicted Trump will win the debates than the 41% who said Democratic candidate Joe Biden will.

That’s despite the fact that only 33% of respondents who watched at least some of the conventions said the political events made them more likely to support Trump; 37% said the conventions made them less likely.

Independents picked Trump over Biden as the likely winner of the debates by 10 percentage points: 47%-37%.

"Trump is gonna run all over Biden," said Curtis Saffi, 38, an independent from Hampton, Georgia, who plans to vote for Biden. He expects a different outcome, however, in the vice presidential debate.

Don't really need MSNBC to tell us that.  We have been discussing it for months here in CEHST.  I suspect that even if Biden doubles his daily dosage of meds, he will appear unable to run a daycare, let alone a country.  Just one person's opinion, of course.

What really interests me knowing what a bad state Biden is in is what will be done to aid him. Democrats and their people in the media have not sat by doing nothing these 4 years, they've used every opportunity on Trump to make sure their narrative is front and center and others are squashed. There's no reason to believe this tactic won't arise for the debates, they won't sit by and let Biden get smashed.

Didn't Hillary have earpieces through which she was aided?  Not sure Biden is sharp enough to pull this off, and of course he doesn't have the hair to hide them...

Hillary was aided significantly by social media, legacy media/MSM, and DNC, not to mention ballot harvesting/fraud (especially in states like CA).

This is how the Democrats will help Hiden, so his performance in any debates that actually occur will not matter at all.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."
