Hello, has anyone had issues returning from a short trip during these COVID times. I will be on a three weeks work leave from next and I want to travel to Dominican Republic for vacation. Although, my conditional GC is still valid but expires next month and I have filed I-751 and I have also received the extension letter. I am just asking because I don't want to be questioned unnecessarily by the CBP officers cos they can be intimidating.

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

My husband was gone for 4 months (went back home for 8 days and the airport shutdown while he was there). He came back on a humanitarian flight with his extension letter (we filed in January 2020) and he had zero issues. I’m sure you’ll be fine for a short vacation.

Received Invoices for AOS and IV and Paid Both (No DS-261 as I have a lawyer): 9/27/2017

DS-260 Submitted: 10/5/17

IV & AOS Packages Mailed: 10/5/17
