She just had her K-1 interview at the Ciudad Juarez, Mexico American consulate and was APPROVED! :dance:

It's been a long process but I'm so glad its done...now onto worrying about the AOS!!!

Congrats! I can only wish that the US consulate in Montreal was as speedy as that! We still have a 4-6 month wait. I'll probably be the last one left in this thread.

How long it takes from packet 4 and interview in Canada? For example in Kazakhstan it takes 3 weeks

Once you get Packet 4 from Montreal, it means your interview is scheduled, which is generally within a month of the Packet 4 date. It's the wait time between Packet 3 and Packet 4 that is the long wait. Someone called today and was told that from a Packet 3 mailed in March, the interview would be in five to seven months.

I am sorry to her that.. here in Kazakhstan it is so easy... as soon as US Embassy recieves case they forward packet 3 and 4 together (including interview date).. usually it is within 3 weeks.. and you don't need to send all forms back to Embassy you just take all of them with you for interview... i don't know why same Government has differernt rules ... I hope to hear good news from you soon :)

Yeah, the Lagos embassy is the same. They give/send Packets 3 and 4 with interview date all together.

We got our letter from the consulate last week. Our interview is on August 15th in Montreal. Hang in there everyone. Your times are coming. B)
