Hi Guys and Gals,

Sao's interview is in one week. We are both so excited. I know we don't have anything to worry about, but let me tell you this waiting is making me a nervous wreck! I thought waiting for the NOA2 was hard, but this is just as bad. I will just be glad when this is all over and she finally gets here.

She will arrive in the US in the 3rd week of August. I am counting down every minute of the day. :)

To everyone else that is close, good luck and God bless. WE all are almost finished with this part of our Visa Journey!

I should have received it in the mail already. I contacted them because they had my SO's name incorrect. I'm thinking they needed to redo the name checks with his corrected name. Sigh.......

Well, I took the bar exam, without much of a panic attack! :goofy: Then on friday last week, my fiance called to tell me he got packet 3!!! yippy! Minor snag however: his parents have no birth certificate for him. And it sort of sounding like they never had one for him (just a receipt from the hospital....sounds to me like they bought him at the baby store!). So now we must wait 20 working days for an official copy of the birth certificate. :( He doesn't want to send back the checklist until two weeks from now so that he doesn't end up with an interview before the birth certificate arrives. On top of all that, I tried to send the huge packet of paperwork I've gotten together, but his only address is a PO box, and DHL won't deliver to a PO box. I woke him up in the middle of the night to get a different address but he was clearly half asleep and in no condition to be giving me a different address. I just don't trust the post office after they lost some very important photographs that my grandmother tried to send through the mail.

I swear, after all the stress i've gone thru this summer, I'll be lucky if I have my sanity come fall.

On a side note, however, I watched an episode of Bridezillas where the birdezilla in question had a major melt down from all the "stress." I had no sympathy for her at all!

Yeah, the stress of all of this is a nightmare. We ought to make the US government pay for a week at a spa for each of us!

Don't feel so bad Elmira, my fiance and I are in the same boat. The paperwork is killing us! I'm trying to do as much of it for her as possible, since obviously Engligh is not her native language, but there is still a lot she has to do to and it just gets frustrating sometimes! Since we probably won't have our interview till Sept., I just try to do one or two forms with her a week...course with your interview coming up so fast you just have to get it done NOW! Just think though, after this paperwork, the only paperwork that has to be done is when you are sitting side by side and doing it together...
