Ladywhite, tried the emailing the embassy thing on Sunday...don't have our petition yet...:( I think they'll get it this week though.

qbertz7:

did you get a reply from the embassy saying they didn't have your petition yet?

Hmmmm..i emailed them monday evening and received a long auto reply saying "....Please note that we are not able to provide routine status updates on the more than 7,000 cases that we handle annually, nor are we able to respond to routine questions regarding whether or not we have received your case from the NVC.."

if they don't have yours, they may not have mine either. your case got sent to BKK two days before mine did.

Thanks for the update. i hope it will be this week. i'm anxious to get things moved forward and know my interview date.

Ladywhite,

Yes, I did get that email, but then I did what they said to do if you want a real response, even though they said not to email again if it is to find out if they have your petition from NVC yet. Instead I just said I wanted to see if they have sent out packet 3 yet as my fiance is ready to go...something like that, and I got a real response saying they don't have it yet...

Well now I'm REALLY confused, last week the NVC and the DOS told me the case was forwarded to the embassy on the 16th. Just a few minutes ago I spoke to a rude woman at the DOS trying to see if it was at the embassy and she told me it just left NVC today!!! I don't get how this is possible after I was told last week that it was sent on July 16th.

Of course I can't get through to the NVC right now and I tried calling DOS to get a different operator and I think I got the same woman! lol...

I know it's not a huge setback if this is the case but still, a week is a week! I hope when I can actually get through to NVC it's a different story...

HAHAHAHA, now another rude woman at the DOS told me it left the NVC on July 16th...man this is screwed up!

'Sir they have the electronic file but not the paper file'

'So what does this mean?'

'It means we can see it in the computer sir but can't do anything else'

Christ, where do they find these people?? Is it too much to ask for them to take a class or two in customer service?

Cool, you got status! Good thing you're persistent. Top 5 trait of a petitioner. Did you get the case number?

Sheesh!!!! We don't even have our packet yet!

You will get it soon :) Did you call to US Embassy?

WOO! We got our interview date, after calling Dept of State. Sept 10th!

To those who received their packet: How many weeks before your interview date did you receive it?

Congratulations! I recieved 3 weeks before :)

packet 4 mailed July 20th

interview scheduled Sep 28th.

I called DOS this morning and got the above info.

I have mailed all paperwork to fiancee this last weekend.

She will schedule medical probably on Sep 26th.

And looking for her to arrive here during Oct.

If your interview date is really the 28, I suggest you schedule the medical before the 26 because you might not get the results in 2 days.

I'm really not sure :innocent: . Well, just a thought.

I agree, in my instructions I found that my medical exam should be minimum 4 days before

One of the listed clinics there (in Moscow) provide the results the same day - get the medical done in the morning around 9am and collect the results by 4pm - same day.

Hi guys!

I am very sorry that you are dealing with all these rude people :( Fortunatelly we didn't have this problem at all :) I called to US Embassy here in Kazakhstan when NVC forwarded our case and they were very polite with me and even asked where they can forward my instructions. I provided with my E-mail and recieved very nice E-mail from them... even now when i have so many questions about all these papers I can call them and they answer on the phone. They are very helpfull... I don't know why Embassies are so different. I even looked at Kazakh US Embassy review and everyone gave 5 (top one). Hopefully adfter interview i will give the same one.... It is funny but only USCIS and NVC people were very rude to us and US Embassy always were nice :) Ironic!

We're dealing with the Naples embassy in Italy.

DOS told us that Packet 3 was mailed out on July 6, 2007. We waited for 2 weeks, and started getting worried. I emailed the consulate expressing my concern, and she immediately EMAILED Packet 3 for us to fill out and fax back to them. The next day, July 19th, my husband received Packet 3 in the mail, postmarked July 18th!!!!

Our interview has not been scheduled yet, and I explained to them how important it is for him to be here before school starts, or he will have to miss a whole year...Of course, no one really cares. It is just so unfair that we have to be treated this way...
