I got my paper notice from NVC today....the funny thing is that when I called them they said that our stuff was sent to Joburg on the 13th, but letter from NVC is dated the 16th and says that within the coming week they'll send our petition to joburg. (i'm just going to act as if they sent the stuff on the 13th, cuz it makes me happier)

I guess at this point it doesn't matter....the petition is moving again! My wonderful fiance will get packet 3 soon and before I know it, he'll be on his way here!!!

When you get Pack3 it goes real fast. I filled it in Friday and sent it there :D.

Hope I get my Interview real fast now.

Don't worry. :) i am sure you will have packet 3 next week :)

For us it took 12 days... and by the way US Consulate here just send E-mail with instruction and interview date.. and i don't need to send anything back to them... and they gave us only 3 weeks!!! It is so funny: first we were so unpatient waiting for everything and now we need more time to prepare all necessary documents :) so ironic :) hope i will have all documents by the day of interview :)

I really really hope my fiance gets packet 3 this week, she already has all the forms ready to be sent out, but we just want confirmation that the embassy has our petition before she sends it back to them. I just hope it's by the end of this week cause she's gonna go on a family vacation for a week and I just want our interview date already! To be able to actually see the end of this part of the journey within sight will be great!

I have heard that you can email the consulate and ask if they have receive your petition. if they have, send out the packet to them without having to wait until the actual packet 3 arrives.

It won't hurt to give it a try. i'll email them too.

Good luck. (F)
