Apologies in advance if my question is not in the correct forum, but appreciative of anyone who is able to point me in the right direction.

I am a US citizen, and planning to move to Egypt for some time and also get married to a Egyptian citizen. However, due to the current pandemic, notarial services in Egypt are currently suspended. I am curious if there is any paperwork I can/should prepare while still in the US to help the process along so it is easier when I get to Egypt?

Any insights or suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

if you gonna apply for K1 means your Egyptian partner who need to move to the US and get married there. but if you are the one who will move to Egypt and get married there, i think you need to discuss with your partner what documents that you need to prepare for the wedding in Egypt. usually it will be like birth certificate or your passport copy, but if any other documents needed better to prepare before you move there.

and if you both will move back to the US after you get married in Egypt, then you can fill CR1/IR1 visa for your Egyptian partner.
