Hi everyone, we applied for a K1 visa for my fiance, USCIS is approved, next the NVC case number says ready for interview, I have attached a picture below.

I have called and email the NVC and they say that the information is already sent to the Mumbai Embassy.

They told me my fiance should receive a packet in the postal mail with all the information. We have been waiting for months with nothing so far.

I heard conflicting answers that they will email these days instead of postal mail and nothing there as well.

I know the we need the The DS-160 as well and we can't submit that and pay without the invoice number which  is supposed to be in the packet mentioned above.

I would appreciate any input or advise please.

They'll get to you when they're ready. Your file was probably one of the last ones that got sent out before the embassies closed because of Covid 19 or maybe now one of the first ones in case that they're already open and processing K1s again. Maybe somebody else knows something about how Mumbai is working right now but because of Covid everything had stopped for quite a while.

Right I heard some people are getting the invoice numbers and filling form DS-160 online already and getting police clearance

I will try calling the embassy to get the invoice number

You don't need the invoice, that's for CR1 if I remember right. All you need is the case number and you already have that. That's enough for the DS 160

Yes sir I just submitted the DS-160

Where do I pay the fee? I need the invoice for that and I have received it from the embassy right now through email.

It won't let me pay the fee on https://ceac.state.gov/ I am met with this every time I click pay fee and enter case id and invoice id

I found another website which is https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/

This one actually gives me option to add all information and shows my fee which is $265

Is the second website correct?

Yes that's the page. You only check your status at the ceac, the rest you do on that page.

Mumbai hasn't started K1 visas yet. The covid situation is pretty bad and they're just barely getting started with CR/IR on a limited level (just a handful of interviews a day).

Keep an eye on https://in.usembassy.gov/visas/ and https://ustraveldocs.com/in/nonimmigrant-visa.html.

I'd say that the daily case counts will need to be declining for several weeks before they expand services at this point however.
