Wife is pregnant and her doctor advised against the mandatory vaccines for the NVC stage.

When I'm filling out the DS-260 should I check off my wife "doesn't have required vaccines" and then write in the notes because her doctor advised against it since she is 32 weeks pregnant? Anything else I should note there. I don't want to lie.

It's fine to mark that she doesn't have them yet. An explanation isn't really needed.

The medical will go over vaccinations. That's where they can skip any vaccines necessary due to contraindications. Note that some may still be required....I think the MMR + Varicella + Flu (seasonal) can be skipped due to pregnancy, but Tdap is still required.

Thanks for those links! is it possible to get the tdap at the actual medical examination for the visa or should she try to do it before if possible?

I’ll defer to the local facility. I know Manila (SLEC) provides them but I am unsure on the process for Ukraine.
