FB censorship

My sister just had her FB account closed, no access to any of her history and pictures, etc. last night.  Why?  She was an admin in a group local to her, and someone started posting memes that were pro-Rittenhouse.  She didn't even post anything about Kyle herself, it was just in a group that someone made her admin of.  

 

No warning, nothing.  She was just unable to log in to her account she's had since 2008.  She had to jump thru hoops to even get FB to open a review of her account.  Cannot speak out against the left without repercussions, it seems.

It’s not good when sites that should be moderated in a non partisan way start banning posters of a political demographic that they don’t agree with.

It was a small reason I left FB, but I agree with you.  I didn't see the memes posted, but I have seen several posted here about Kyle Rittenhouse, and I'd like to think that anyone could post their opinion without being censored.  Hope the mods here are listening with open ears.

  I mostly avoid sites like FB because they mine our data and personal information. Also because I'm not really that interested in what people are doing. The censorship and self righteous defense of their platform are just a couple more reasons I guess.

1,000%.  When I found out that FB knew every time I logged into a banking account, or an investment account, I quit.

 

The amount of data they have on every member is very frightening.  And as my cop friends tell me, completely available for review at any time.

So as this has developed,  FB has not reinstated my sister's original account with many years of pictures, memories, etc.  

 

But some of her friends are relating to her that they are getting questioned by FB as to how they know my sister, their opinion of her, her moral character.  Turns out someone reported the group (and all admins who got banned) because the group is working to curb pedophiles in their local area.  

 

I find it very troubling that FB would have any desire to shut down such groups/endeavors.

I saw that over the weekend they banned "Patriot Prayers" in a move to ban "violent social militias". Even though they weren't violent but one of their members ended up being killed. It makes no sense.
