I mailed my taxes back in April and when i ordered the tax return transcript online a few weeks ago, i got a letter from the IRS stating that it still isnt available!!!

can i just include the 1099, W2 and 1040 with the I-864 instead??

i do have the tax return transcripts for 2018 and 2017, but not 2019

The IRS has a massive backlog of mail because of limited workers during the pandemic. Back in June they had an estimated 11 million unopened pieces. I haven't been able get my transcript too.

If you don't have the transcript, you have to include the 1040, w-2, and 1099.

Just wondering if your taxes ever got processed.  I mailed mine in May and it has still not been processed.  IRS advocate tells me they are past that date for normal processing but they have a huge stack of tax returns that require further review.  Of course they cannot look for mine.  I am crossing my fingers it gets updated soon.  Just wait until people start filing their 2020 tax returns next month on top of those from 2019.  I am hoping the consulates are taking that into consideration.  No way to get a transcript.

Aside note - what do you do if your spouse has no income here in the U.S.?  Do you still file a W-7 and 1040 without any amounts?  I am wondering if that is why mine is held up.  I filed married filing separately and put NRA for my spouse's SSN.  He filed for W-7 since he did not submit a 1040.
