Jurisdiction/Service District and 3 month residency requirement for N400

Hello I am a bit confused about the 3 month residency within a service district requirement that USCIS has for N400 application. I am eligible for citizenship application in a little less than a month but will be moving my address in a month. I am moving from one suburb to another suburb within the same state but different county. Does this mean I will have to wait another 3 months before applying because I will not have been at my new residence/address for 3 months?

What is the local field office? If it is so close, is there a possibility that it's the same?

I don't know what the field office is for the zip code. The page on USCIS website is not working. I am moving less than 20 miles away.

Yes, that link is not working right now.

 

You can try the link below -- 'select a state' and and then click on 'local office' below the state. Click on 'view details' for each local office and then look under 'Areas covered by this office.' You can also confirm this by calling USCIS.

I just wanted to point out that you can always file before moving using the current address, and then just do an address update as soon as you move.

Thank you xyz12345, I used the zip codes to find 'local office' and it gave me the same local office for both zip codes(my old and new address). Under the 'Areas covered by this office' it says that the local office covers the entire state except for a few counties which are not the counties that I am moving between. It seems to say that the same office covers both the counties (my old address and my new address). Does this confirm that I do not have to wait 3 months and I can apply at my new address?

 

Also thank you millefleur, that would be a good idea but can there be any complications with address changes after filing?

File the AR-11 online here:

Your case will be automatically transferred to the new local office, if that is applicable.

Unfortunately, you never know if the non USCIS website is up to date unless there is another non USCIS website that says so. Most accurate info will come from USCIS and most websites just post a link to USCIS. So either 1) call to confirm or 2) as suggested, just apply before moving and then submit AR-11.

I will call but now the USCIS website is working

yes. and don't forget to submit your ar-11. Good luck! o by the way, don't submit on first day of eligibility. Submit 1-2 days later.

why would I need to submit ar-11 if I am completing my application with my new address once I move?

 

Also is there a requirement to provide proof of residence? It will probably take a while for my driving license to be changed and new one to arrive?
