US Spouse Visa Interview Brazil

Hey all,

 

My wife and I have recently made it thorough the NVC process and are awaiting for our interview in Rio to be scheduled. I cannot find any firm information on when the will begin scheduling spouse visa interviews again though. Does anyone know or have any information about when they are expected to begin scheduling interviews again?

The US Consulate in Rio is still closed for routine visa processing, including spousal visas, and appointments are suspended for now.  Only emergency services for US citizens currently in Brazil are being provided at this time.  From the Rio Consulate website:

Urgent information for visa applicants regarding novel coronavirus:

The U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Brazil have suspended routine immigrant and nonimmigrant visa appointments. We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time.
