My wife's oath ceremony is on Monday. So far, USCIS hasn't collected my wife's passport-sized photo.

Does she need to take the photo with her to the ceremony ?

Which photo will USCIS affix on the Naturalization certificate ?

I believe they take a pic there at the ceremony and they print that on the certificate.

Thank you

They re-used my husbands photo from his visa for his naturalization certificate. I don’t know if that’s typical. Seemed odd because it was 4 years old.

They re-used the same picture on my 10 years green card and the picture was 7 years old. It wouldn't hurt to take some pics with you and you going to need it for your passport anyway if they don't use it. Good luck

Finally, my wife had her Oath Ceremony yesterday at San Francisco. Quick and easy. Just 20 mins.

They asked her to surrender her current green card. They didn't ask for or take any passport picture.

They used picture from her Green card for her Naturalization certificate.

Good luck to everyone else in this journey.

Congratulation! One question, do you see anyone who cant not turn in his/her GC since the card was lost and the replacement is not ready yet? Or these people have to wait until their get the new GC then be naturalized

They collected the Green Card and the completed Oath Ceremony letter first. Then, they handed the Naturalization Certificate and asked us to take the Oath.

You could explain to them that you have lost your Green Card, and I think they will make a note of it in the Oath Ceremony letter at the top.

I don't think they will stop your Oath Ceremony just because you lost your GC. Don't worry. You will be fine.
