Finally my citizenship journey has been completed! Had my interview Wednesday. Very quick! Did the civic questions, reading and written tests. Then the office asked me a few questions like when my mom became a citizen. About where I work and if I had any additional membership besides the labor union. Then we did the yes and no questions. He approved and let me know the oath ceremony is happening and I can get my certificate and become a US citizen on the same day!

Whew I am just glad it’s over.

PS I had goosebumps when the officer told me he approved. It’s a different kind of happiness!

OMG! That's asinine.

Will he be able to visit the biometric site? Or is that too far away?

Is it worth the trouble and time to ask for a reschedule to a closer location?

I have yet to experience that.

However, having been a member of Global Entry, my wife and I have had special treatments entering the US from any of our overseas travel - prior to Covid, of course.

My passport arrived yesterday! All that's left is to update info with social security office and I will be 100% done.

Hoping everyone hears good news soon. It's a long journey but the end is in sight for all of us!

So today I logged in to my wife's account to check the UCSIS center address where she was supposed to do the biometrics.

And saw there is a new notice. dated today, that they have scheduled her a new appointment for Jul 12th!

This is horrible, I guess we have to wait and go on July 12th, but the last paper we got was showing June 18TH.

Has anyone had similar experience?

Thanks - 8 weeks and 2 days after I submitted the application.

You can pay for a faster service if you want but I didn't need it. They said it would be estimated 12 weeks for standard service

I see a new notice as well for Biometric for a date in July while I had it in June as well.
