DO NOT send the original with the 485. Only photocopies of everything. You will have to bring an original to the interview to show them, that's why they specifically ask for photocopies.

I've heard of people getting RFE's for having just a photocopy with the I-485. What's the worst that can happen? I have 4 certified copies of the marriage cert (city hall made a mistake and sent 4 instead of 2). I don't see the huge deal is sending them a COPY with a seal on it versus a photocopy.

As long  as the certified  stamp shows  up on the copy of the copy you are fine.  I copied my original  copy from the courthouse it was fine. Just keep one of the original copies you got from the courthouse so you can make copies as you need them.

Please consider filing the I-131 and the I-765 even if you don't think you'll need them right now. You never know what changes your life will have on down the road, so I recommend you file these two forms from the start. There is no extra charge to file them with your AOS and it's much much easier to submit them all at once.

Will this still apply once the new fees go into affect 10/2/2020?

I'm really at this point not sure due to  the many changes and misinformation put out by USCIS. It's best to wait until they update the fees on their website. I would not want to give you the wrong answer! Best to wait and see. What's the status on your interview I see you are in AP?

Hello everyone,

I sent out my package on 08/30/2020 and it's delivered to USCIS lockbox on 09/01/2020. After that I didn't hear anything from USCIS. My check is never cashed out either. I already emailed the lockbox and called USCIS several times but didn't get any progress. Is this normal? Any suggestion?

I understand. It seems as of last night the fee change will not take place on 10/2/20 but we don't know how long that will uphold.

He was put in AP because his medical expired the day after his interview so since he could not travel by the next day they made him retake his medical.

Do you have any idea how long it may take for them to issue the visa once they receive the medical results?

Hello and greetings to all 😊,

On 8/29/2020 we filed the AOS as K1 recipient and it was delivered by USPS on 8/31/2020 to Chicago Lock Box. Now it's 9/30/2020 we have yet to here anything nor has our check been cashed, so getting nervous about what's going on. Little back story 😮 our K1 visa process was in 2019 and we married by sep 2019. Was not able to file AOS @ the time because my income was insufficient for the previous year but now after redoing the medical exam and etc and I found a co sponsor we picked up and continuing where we left off almost a year later 🙄😩. Anyways I'm seeing mostly everyone's post here that within a 2 to 3 weeks time frame their AOS package is being accepted and checks cashed etc and we are concerned hm a month later nothing 🤔 I guess I can try emailing the LockBox and see what's going on?  anyone else having to wait a month +  please advise. Congratulations to everyone getting there's processed 🎉
