It really depends on your local field office. My local FO is Manhattan, I’ve been ready to be scheduled for and interview since 02/02/21, but I don’t expect to get an interview until early 2022, maybe December 2021 if we’re lucky. But if you’re elsewhere in NY it might be different. I’d look into your FO processing times to get an idea.

That’s absolutely accurate. My FO is Newark and I hear they are just scheduling late 2019 and early 2020 , so I expect mine to be late 21 or early 22 .. It’s ridiculous, but they are  backlogged.

Wow that is INSANE. Did you receive anything in the mail yet? or does the "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" just mean in general it is ready to be scheduled and when it is scheduled we will let you know...so I shouldn't expect anything in the mail so soon. We're in NYC so im assuming its the same. Did you apply and get approved for AP at least? I can't expect to keep my husband here for two years and not see his family for at least a week lmao

Yes, the ready to be scheduled status is just a general thing. You don’t get anything in the mail until after your status changes to “Interview was scheduled,” and for NYC that would be several months down the line. And yes, I’ve been approved for both AP and EAD

09/25/20: AOS package (I-130/I-485/I-765/I-944) mailed out via USPS.

09/27/20: Package received by USPS.

10/24/20: Received NOA1 in the mail. PD is 09/28/20.

01/05/21: Biometrics appointment completed (Brooklyn ASC). Case updated to show fingerprints were taken (I-486 & I-765).

01/05/21: I-131 mailed via UPS.

01/17/21: Received IOE receipt number for I-131 via text.

01/25/21: Received a biometrics reuse notice for I-131.

02/02/21: I-485 Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.

02/04/21: Received I-693 deficiency notice in the mail (dated 01/29/21).

02/09/21: Advance Parole document was produced.

02/16/21: AP in hand.
02/26/21: New Card Is Being Produced (EAD).

03/04/21: EAD in hand.

09/01/21: EAD renewal paperwork received by USCIS. IOE receipt number.

09/07/21: Receipt / 180-day automatic extension received in the mail.

09/09/21: Received a biometrics reuse notice for I-765 renewal.

10/25/21: AP renewal NOA and biometrics reuse received in the mail.

11/04/21: Interview was scheduled for 12/02.

Thats frustrating. 3-4weeks starts after they sent u back your documents?

So you’re saying you applied personally too before?

Yes. I applied personally separately before we filed for AOS

They will send the documents back to you after 2weeks. The guy told me that when they received the documents, it will stay in the storage room for a week before opening. So it's pending for a week ( to prevent covid). Then after that week, they will open and get copy of your docs. And send it back to you. Then you will receive the card in 3-4weeks time.

Finally received our interview notice! Scheduled for 3/24

USCIS - Raleigh @ 9:00 am

Now to gather up all of the documents in the meantime!

I find it crazy that we will have our interview before getting our EAD or AP.

Anybody had to re-schedule the biometrics and received a re-schedule appointment from USCIS ? Filed the I-485 on Sep 29 2020 and got a biometrics appointment for Feb 17, but the ASC was shut down because of the winter storm.  I'm curious to know how long it could take to for USCIS to re-schedule an ASC appointment ?

Had one set for Jan 20 which got cancelled for the inauguration and then got rescheduled for Feb 9.

Same here. Super frustrating!

I am a September 29 filer. I got an RFE for I-944 on 02/04. Just responded to it. No bio yet though. Super frustrating indeed!

We had our GC interview today and were told our GC with conditions should arrive in about one month!!

Interview was very quick and straightforward. The USCIS officer asked my husband to affirm the answers to the questions on the i-485 ( all the ones regarding will you break the law, are you a terrorist bits)

Asked how we met

Then rapid fire asked a bunch of dates

wedding date

my bday

our kids bdays

date landed in US

date of our first meeting in person

date of when we first met

Asked me if I have added him to anything, and I told her since we don't have SSN yet, its very limited-- health insurance, one utility and two credit cards.

She just said ok, and then started explaining that the green card will arrive in a month by regular mail and that we need to file form i-751 to remove conditions 90 days prior to GC expiration. She handed us the notice of interview results stating the same, and asked if we had questions.

We said thanks and were on our way!
