Another update from USCIS

Case approved for I-131 and I-765.

Praise the Lord.

Hopefully SSN next.

No update for my K2 though. He only received scheduled for Interview for his I -485.

All glory to God.

Got another update from USCIS today 2-22-2021

Card for I-765 being mailed today. Guess it's a combo card.

Saw in August filers that their interview was waived and they get approved.

Praying 🙏.

Hi guys! I updated in our WhatsApp group, but wanted to share on VJ in case not everyone is on there.

Our I-485 was scheduled for interview today:). PD date 9/21. AOS through marriage. NYC, but moved to Indianapolis field office couple weeks ago.

Update the past few days:

2/19 our EAD updated to new card being produced // I-485 updated to case is ready to be scheduled for interview

2/22 EAD/AP changed to case was approved // I-485 changed to Interview was scheduled

Was not expecting this kind of movement on our case, especially because it took 5 months for biometrics.

I definitely think it's because we are no longer in NYC lol. Who knows...

9/14/20 — marriage AOS sent with USPS

9/21/20 — package received and signed for

10/4/20 — personal checks taken out

10/6/20 — received 4 texts application received with receipt # (i130/i485/i765/i131)

10/14/20 — received 4 NOA in mail

12/21/20 — received email notification for RFE for i-944

1/19/21 — called USCIS, biometrics scheduled + notice sent out on 1/15

1/23/21 — received biometrics letter in mail

1/24/21 — sent i-944 RFE via UPS w/ signature confirmation

1/28/21 —  RFE received and USCIS continued to work on case

2/9/21 — biometrics taken

2/19/21 — new card being produced (I-765).... case ready to be scheduled for interview (I-485)

2/22/21  AP+EAD changed to "case was approved".... I-485 changed to interview was scheduled

Congrats to people getting interviews already!

There is definitely a major difference between different field office interview waiting times. Some have really excessive waiting times (up to 2 years even, in the case of Seattle), and some have really short ones (~4 months, usually for smaller field offices). The official USCIS estimates are totally useless, but you can get good info by looking at the average timelines for different field offices on this site.

Still on fingerprints were taken.
What’s the next status? When does it usually change to next status?

It depends. Mine almost 3months after biometric before I got updates on my EAD, AP and AOS. Others only weeks or even days. So not all cases are the same. Just chill. You get updates soon. Goodluck.
