Wow! That’s a long time.. We applied by the end of September (NJ) and still didn’t get my biometrics. I hope rest will go fast for you 🤞🏻

So I have noticed a pattern with applications from Aug and Sept filers. 
 

NOTE: No case is treated the same. I am only speculating. 
 

Some August filers are receiving Biometrics, and I-944, while some concurrently. It seems like USCIS is confused on that form I-944 due to the multiple court injunctions that has taken place. 
 

There was a case where immediately after biometrics was taken the status changed to Card Being Produced (This case did not submit I-944 and may still get RFE)

 

September filers, from multiple accounts it seems USCIS is prioritizing K-1 applicants and possibly other groups except AOS, and they have been issued biometrics appointment letters, while a few other sept filers have received RFE. 

 

But a large majority have ONLY received RECEIPTS and are patiently waiting for BIOMETRICS or any UPDATE (RFE). The wait seems to be closer, as Aug filers have began receiving all three notices (RFE, BIOMETRICS & CARD BEING PRODUCED) so my final take on this, is we wait a little patiently and by January we should get our updates or even before the end of this year.

I am noticing the same trend, too. I have a friend who filed end of July and just received her biometrics appointment a few weeks ago (through marriage and actually scheduled for today). Also another filer (through marriage) in early August who has yet to receive biometrics or any update. They say AOS is not for the impatient . Like you said, hopefully by EOY or Jan we will receive some sort of movement... The wait continues.

I'm PD September 28th and today (December 7th) my USCIS receipt got updated to say that an RFIE was mailed out. I verified in my USCIS online account that it was the I-944. 

 

Still no biometrics, which I'm more anxious about since I believe its strictly needed for the I-131.

3. December 8th 2020: Online status updated to " Request for initial evidence"

 

Anyone else filed i485 without i944 received RFE? I am not sure though my RFE is related to I944 as I haven't received the mail.

Hi there. Seems like not all case are the same. I filed AOS from K1 and K2 visa. AOS Priority date SEPTEMBER 21. HAd BIOMETRICS November 10. Didn't send I-944. Now it's a month after Biometrics and no update yet on my case.

Same for me. Didn’t send 944 and December 8th they requested initial evidence, still don’t know what’s that about!

How is everyone doing? It's been a while since I have checked on VisaJourney, just been waiting game so far.

Just to update y'all. I just got an email from USCIS instructing me to check my USCIS Account online, turns out as of December 9, 2020 I am receiving a Request for Initial Evidence for my I-485.

 

No updates on biometrics or anything like that yet.

I filled I-130 and I-485 on September 24 (through marriage). I included the I-944.

I797's notices received on October 21, and no update on biometrics thus far.

I received the RFE for mine yesterday.  I filed September 21st and they received it September 22nd.  The RFE was for the I944 which I did NOT include.  However I had it basically filled out and all the evidence ready anyway.  I just had to update a few things on it and print latest bank statements and credit report and pack it all in an envelope.  Hopefully I crossed all the t's and dotted all the i's..... it's en route to the NBC.

What did the RFE say? 
 

My PD is Sept 21 (85 days ago) and I did not submit I-944, fortunately if I can say that, I still haven’t gotten any update. It’s weird how they are processing each case
