How did you put in a service request to alert USCIS ?

I am still hopeful for a biometrics appointment

I called the 1-800 number and an agent helped me but you can easily do it online. It’s not letting me past the link here for some reason but Google USCIS E-REQUEST. Should be first link then click “did not receive notice by mail”. It will ask you for some details like receipt number etc. At the end it should give you a Case ID number. Takes about 20-30 days to hear back from the request.

9/14/20 — marriage AOS sent with USPS

9/21/20 — package received and signed for

10/4/20 — personal checks taken out

10/6/20 — received 4 texts application received with receipt # (i130/i485/i765/i131)

10/14/20 — received 4 NOA in mail

12/21/20 — received email notification for RFE for i-944

1/19/21 — called USCIS, biometrics scheduled + notice sent out on 1/15

1/23/21 — received biometrics letter in mail

1/24/21 — sent i-944 RFE via UPS w/ signature confirmation

1/28/21 —  RFE received and USCIS continued to work on case

2/9/21 — biometrics taken

2/19/21 — new card being produced (I-765).... case ready to be scheduled for interview (I-485)

2/22/21  AP+EAD changed to "case was approved".... I-485 changed to interview was scheduled

So I originally filed back in September, but my first package got lost based on the tracking I received.  We sent a 2nd package back in October and found out later that the USCIS did in fact received my first package.  I put a stop payment on the first one so they wouldn't charge me twice in case they did eventually receive my first package (in which they did much later on).

Even after all that mailing nonsense and confusion, my wife still got a biometrics appointment on November 10th.  After reading a lot of posts on this board, I guess we got very lucky.  We did not submit an I-944 either, although, I made sure our paperwork was very well organized, clear, and wrote a very detailed Cover Page for each of my forms.  I guess it depends on who's reviewing your documents.  It's very possible we can get an RFE on the I-944 based on what I'm hearing, but nothing as of yet.

My next question is, how long does it take for the USCIS to schedule an interview with us after the biometrics has been approved?  Anybody get to that part yet?

Wow, indeed lucky. Seems like most people here are waiting for biometrics LOL. I’m sure earlier month filers would have this info, though :)

We send ours at Chicago lockbox. But it's in National Benefits Center in Lee's summit, Missouri.

Wow! That’s fast. People are waiting a long time for biometrics. My PD is Sept 1 and I’ve gotten nothing. Where do you live/what is your ASC? Congratulations!

That's good to hear. I was wondering why people seem to be having wildly differing timelines on biometrics, but if they're all processed by the same place, it must just be related to the field office backlogs.

Wow, congrats!!! It really is the luck of the draw... I filed 9/14 and still no movement for biometrics (like many others that I’ve seen in this group).  Keep us posted if you see more movement :)

For sure it depends on the people or the offices that processes our case.

Well earlier this week both of my parents' USCIS case status for I-485 was updated to "Request for Initial Evidence sent". I guess we're getting the I-944. I have not gotten anything in the mail, so can't confirm. I'm already translating all the documents either way.

AOS For Parents

-8/29/2020: Sent packages
-8/31/2020: Delivered to USCIS (PD)
-9/16/2020: NOA1 dates for all forms
-10/03/2020: Biometric appointment letters received
-10/23/2020: Biometrics taken
-11/18/2020: RFIE for I-944
-12/18/2020: Sent I-944 package
-12/22/2020: Case status updated to Response To USCIs’ request for evidence received
-12/29/2020: I-693 deficiency letter received
-1/4/2021: EAD status changed to “New Card Is Being Produced”
-1/5/2021: AP & EAD status changed to "Case was Approved"

My full name is A B C but when I printed i-94 out, my first name was missing (appeared like B C in i-94). When filling i-485 form, my attorney put "B C" in the section "other names, aliens......" , I am not sure if it is appropriate?
Thank you!
