We're happy to inform the credit card has been charged yesterday. It took less than two weeks from the day the package was delivered.  We are now waiting for the NOA

09/23 - Package sent to the USCIS Chicago lockbox

09/25 - Package delivered

10/07 - Credit card charged

We did not submit the I-944 with the package, but we're preparing the documents so we can send it off as soon as we get the RFE

Update: So we got approved NOAs for Forms I-485 and I-131. We got a refused NOA for our I-765 Employment Authorization due to: (1) incorrect payment amount and (2) outdated version.

They received our AOS package on September 3rd and this notice was sent on the 26th.

I don't understand how they came to this as we did everything correctly.

Our CC was charged $1,225 and we specified in every form's cover letter that we were filing concurrently I-485 so we were exempt from paying the I-765 filing fee.

The form's edition is 08/25/20 which is the correct edition (USCIS officers have nulled a printed number under the barcode with black ink?)

Anybody have any suggestions as what next steps are? Do I fight this? Do I pay the fee?

Hello,

I too received Our accepted noa for i-485 and i-131 but a noa rejection for i-765 for outdated form incorrect fee. We really did on accident sent the 12/2019 version ugh. I called uscis to get a understanding because I don't want to send anymore money if we don't need too 😐. She said resubmit our new i-765 forms with a copy of noa rejection of first i-765 and noa of acceptance of i-485 as proof it was filed concurrently. Oh and attached that green form on top of package so that's first thing they see. No need to write a letter of explanation . I was asking it all to the tee.   So I'll follow her advice.      Idk with all these changes it's hard to keep up or even they make errors.   Good luck

This happened to me.  It was their mistake.  Refile with your 485 receipt and the 765 no fee

Sorry to hear that! We were in a similar boat...same reason, but our fees were correct. On our FIFTH submission, we were finally successful (not one thing changed package to package-- infuriating!) Hang in there and good luck.

Wow that sounds horrible!!! Sorry you had to go through that.. well I’m being optimistic and luckily my husband is going to be here until the end of the year. Next year I’ll be all by myself so I really hope to get NOA 1 soon, before he leaves (army). Good luck everyone

I’m yet to get my receipts but contacted a live agent and they gave me receipt # (i485/i765/i131) but said only the petitioner can get receipt # for i-130

I’ll wait for the package as they said it’s been shipped

Yes, my husband (petitioner) received all the texts, even i485, i765, i131 which is weird because the beneficiary signs off. But, doesn’t matter too much as long as they’re received. Hopefully you get yours soon!

So this morning I was pleasantly surprised by USPS informed delivery with 4 letters from USCIS  2 for my mom & 2 for my dad.

j just opened them and they’re the biometric appointments for both of them (10/23), notice day was 10/3. They’re both in the same day at the same time. For both of them one appointment was for I-485 & the other was for I-485 & I-765.

Seems like thing are marching with the regular speed.

Assuming we get the EAD before the RFE for I-944, I’m wondering if you could fill out I-944 with information from after you got the EAD card, like submitting newly contracted healthcare insurance, new US paystubs, and all new things an immigrant would be able to obtain to comply with the public charge rule. Do you guys think that would be allowed?

Do you mean you received the physical receipts on 10/3 and biometrics notice received today for 10/23 appointment? If so, that’s amazing... SO fast!

Thanks. I found the logic the numbers serially follow so I got the 4th number :)

Update: Still haven’t gotten any text, email or mail. I also subscribed to informed delivery to get notified.

With the receipt #s gotten from the agent on livechat I added it to the tracker and got an update today saying fingerprint fee received 10days ago
