Work letter and other docs for the AOS interview after change of circumstances

Hello

My AOS interview has been rescheduled.  Our circumstances have changed since I applied for AOS:

  • My other half isn't working due to a COVID shutdown
  • I have received an EAD and I am now working

I am wondering:

  1. I need to take an employment letter with my new job.  What should the letter state?  I assume it should be: salary, is it a permanent role, location.  Anything else?
  2. What other docs would you take due to the change of circumstances?  Our monthly income has increased a bit since we applied, we have always been above the poverty line requirement.  The only change we have at the moment is who is the main earner in the family.

There's no sponsor.  My husband (a US citizen) signed my affidavit of support.

Just to make it clear, I now have an AOS interview appointment in a couple of weeks.

It's gonna be up to the officer. Technically, your sponsor doesn't qualify anymore, so you need to find another way, either using assets or a joint Sponsor. But the officer might not ask for updated information, and just approve based on you first sent. I would have a joint sponsor ready in case they ask if the information in the 864 is still current.

Approved, 5 minutes after leaving the interview!!!

I secured a second sponsor, but it wasn't necessary.  The officer didn't ask for any update on my husbands employment but asked me if I was now working (I am, for three months now).  The agent was nice and I managed to make her laugh.  Our interview lasted 5 minutes and I got an email update stating that I was approved before I got to the car!  We are fortunate that we have thoroughly documented our relationship and had previously submitted many documents to support my A.O.S., K-1 and I-129F applications.
